While it is true that we are in the offseason and signing season in the VCT, the controversies and problems in some organizations do not cease. This time, the North American organization Evil Geniuses surprised everyone with an announcement regarding their VCT Game Changers Series 3 NA winning squad.

Evil Geniuses shared a statement in which they mention that they are expelling one of their players from the VALORANT Game Changers lineup after some “hateful” comments that, without a doubt, contradict all the values of the organization and, of course, of the league.

Evil Geniuses announces the departure of one of its players from the Game Changers roster

Through a statement on its official Twitter/X account, Evil Geniuses announced the expulsion of one of its players due to inappropriate comments.

This announcement is surprising for everyone in the community, as we must remember that Evil Geniuses GC beat Version1 in the Game Changers Series 3 NA Grand Final a few days ago. In addition, it is also mentioned that the organization is in constant collaboration with Riot regarding everything that has to do with the team’s participation in the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023, which will be played in São Paulo at the end of 2023.

Evil Geniuses mentions that, after receiving allegations that a player made “inappropriate, hateful and misogynistic” comments, they decided to take action by immediately expelling her from the team’s roster. In addition, EG mentions that this behavior is inappropriate for a player in this organization.

Who is this player?

In the statement, EG reserved the player’s name involved in this situation. However, in the last few hours, different accusations have appeared against one of these players, keenc.

These accusations are sexual, and different videos and screenshots were shared where reference is made that the “victim” would be minor. Keenc mentions that he would be “her type” if she were “older and physically active.”

To all this, Keenc published a post on her Twitter/X account, which is now deleted. In this post, the player apologized for everything that happened and was completely remorseful.

Likewise, thanks to a screenshot from Dotesports, we can see the post before it was deleted.

Keenc’s departure from EG leaves the team with a little over a month to get a fifth player to play in the end-of-season tournament in Brazil.

Recall that the VALORANT Game Changers is a “space” or “refuge” for women and marginalized genders within the VALORANT competitive scene. As a result of this expulsion of keenc from EG, it is expected that the values of this competition will continue to be strengthened.
