Unfortunately, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen was eliminated from the Copenhagen Major RMR after a loss against Guild Eagles. This result means dupreeh had his 19 Major attending streak broken.
Dupreeh Loses His Biggest Flex
Though dupreeh isn’t considered one of the best Counter-Strike players of all time like s1mple or ZywOo, there is no argument that he is the most successful player in history with the most Valve Major wins, a total of 5 Major trophies. Just yesterday, dupreeh was the only player to qualify for every Counter-Strike Major in history – a total of 19.
It becomes even more painful to think that Peter had recently lifted the trophy of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 alongside Team Vitality, but was replaced by mezii in the team shortly after the win.
The first Counter-Strike Major was dated November 2013, over a decade ago. Qualifying for every Major tournament meant that dupreeh was within the top sixteen teams every year, showing immense levels of consistency throughout eleven years of professional play. He is now 30 years old and a father.
RMR Run Was Not Easy Preasy
Unfortunately, most fans can agree that dupreeh’s current team, Preasy, is the weakest lineup he’s ever played in. Though he was accompanied by experienced players such as roeJ and refrezh, the two other players, Altekz and TMB, were very inexperienced. To add to the lack of firepower, Preasy did not have a dedicated AWPer like all the top teams.
The Preasy boys started their RMR run with a 0-2 score after losses to Heroic and OG. Losing to Heroic is nothing to be ashamed of, but a defeat to OG was not a great sign. From this point onwards, every match Preasy played would be an elimination match.
Fortunately, the Danish roster could snag their first win against PERA. However, their victory wasn’t clean, as they dropped a map against PERA, the lowest-ranked team in the event.
Preasy Loses To Guild Eagles
Preasy was put to the test against Guild Eagles in the 1-2 pool. The two veterans, roeJ and dupreeh, stepped up on the first map to take a clean 13-6 victory on their map pick of Inferno. However, the Eagles struck back with a 13-7 scoreline on Ancient, bringing the series to a decisive third game on Overpass.
Despite dupreeh and refrezh’s best efforts, the remaining members of Preasy couldn’t find their footing and dropped the ball. Dupreeh would finally miss his first Major after 11 years, losing Overpass 13-9.
In the elimination series against the Guild Eagles, dupreeh was the highest-rated player with a KD of 51/42 and a 1.25 rating. Unfortunately, his heroic performance was not enough to drag his team through the finish line.
We gave it all, but wasn’t enough 🫤
Starting CS2 without the major in Copenhagen is extremely sad, but in hindsight it just wasn’t meant to be ❤️Thanks for cheering! 📣

No Player Has Attended All 20 Counter-Strike Majors
The full Danish lineup of Preasy will not participate in the Copenhagen Major, missing out on playing in front of their home crowd. With dupreeh’s failure in their 2024 Major run, no player has attended every single Valve Major in history.
Players with the highest Valve Major appearances:
- dupreeh – 19 Majors
- karrigan – 18 Majors
- Xyp9x – 17 Majors
- shox – 17 Majors
- apEx – 17 Majors
