DPC Tour 3: Western Europe results (partial)

Tour 3 of Dota Pro Circuit 2023 is currently underway and the battle in Western Europe is extremely harsh. Competitors like Team Secret seemed doomed almost from the start and will likely return to Division II at the end of this Tour.

Other teams, such as Tundra Esports, are currently thriving. What’s interesting is that Gaimin Gladiators finally lost a best-of-three match against Team Liquid, a team they defeated numerous times this season.

But even Liquid lost a match, against Entity. Luckily for them, they won the other three and are now in a comfortable position. Given the current situation, it’s hard to imagine them and Tundra failing to qualify for the Bali Major. At the same time, it’s hard to imagine Secret (currently 0 W – 3 L) avoiding getting relegated.

For Secret fans, every match is painful to watch. That’s because they have a lot of good games and even win some of the times, but aren’t strong enough to win a full best-of-three. Against Liquid, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s team lost both games but managed to survive for more than 52 minutes in game 2.

Against Gladiators and OG, Secret won one of the games but got completely destroyed in the other two.

The other team that has lost its first several matches is D1 Hustlers (0 W – 2 L). OG and Entity both have a record of 1 W – 2 L.

One team that has been interesting to watch is Quest Esports. This is the team where Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf went after leaving Nigma Galaxy. So far, he seems to have managed to synergize well with the rest of the crew.

ATF is known for his quick temper and we know from the year he spent playing for OG that he’s a bit difficult. But he’s also incredibly talented. At just 18, he’s easily one of the best offlaners in the world. Quest Esports won so far against OG and Entity but lost against Gaimin Gladiators.

On the bright side, they did win one game against Gladiators, which suggests that Quinn “Quinn” Callahan’s team is probably not as strong as before. Something happened after the second Major. We don’t know what, but Gladiators used to win matches without losing a single game. And now they’re struggling to win or even losing.
