Dota 2 patch 7.30c has changed the meta again and everyone is trying to discover the heroes that give the best competitive advantage when played with skill. Finding such heroes can often gain you hundreds of MMR points in a matter of days because most of the player base is slow to react to the changes and has no idea how to protect itself against the broken strategies created by them. So with the goal of finding such strategies in mind, here are the Dota 2 patch 7.30c best heroes.
Silencer
Silencer was a very weak hero for quite a few patches. But after the changes introduced by Dota 2 patch 7.30 and 7.30c, this hero has become completely overpowered. If played well, it can quickly gain a lot of damage and turn into an unstoppable beast in 1v1 conflicts.
On the one hand, Silencer prevents enemy heroes from casting spells. On the other hand, it slows their movement speed and deals impressive amounts of damage from a long range. If you also give him a slight boost in movement speed with the help of a Wind Lace, your opponents will have a hard time distancing themselves from you.
Silencer’s default attack range is 600. But his level 15 talent allows you to have a range of 700. If you buy a Dragon Lance on top of that, you’re at 840. And if you also find a Grove Bow, you’re at 940. Add to that the 18% movement speed slow that you inflict on your enemies with your Arcane Curse and you’ll see why almost any 1v1 will go in your favor.
The ability that makes Silencer a menace in the laning phase is Glaives of Wisdom. This ability has always been strong, but now it’s deadly. Not only does it give you pure damage based on your Intelligence (15 – 75%). It also allows you to steal 1 – 3 Int per hit for 15 – 30 seconds. In effect, you’re a ranged Slark that steals Intelligence and gains a lot of bonus damage during each fight.
Items
The best items to buy on a Silencer are the following: Treads, Rod of Atos, Dragon Lance, BKB, and Shard Upgrade.
Silencer’s Shard Upgrade is amazing. For just 1400 gold you get a second attack that deals 50% of your damage. This allows you to farm much faster and to deal greater damage in battles.
As a general rule, try to itemize your Silencer in a way that boosts his natural strengths. The best build seems to be a mixture of attack range, attack speed, survivability, and attack damage.
Strategy
With a Silencer, what you want is to win your lane, which shouldn’t be hard considering just how strong the hero is at early levels, and then put pressure on the enemy team. Go from lane to lane, invade their jungle and be as disruptive as possible. Because keep in mind, they can’t fight you until they get their BKBs. Only high mobility heroes will pose a serious threat to you in the early stages of the game. Beware of Ember, Void Spirit, and Storm Spirit.
Weaver
After the release of Dota 2 patch 7.30c, Weaver has become a legitimately strong carry that can quickly take control of the game and remove much of the opposing team’s map control before the 20-minute mark. His Shukuchi damage is insane (235 with the level 10 talent) considering the fact that he can cast this ability twice in just 4 seconds. In effect, you can use it to start the fight, use Germinate Attack, and then use it again to either end the fight, retreat, or chase your opponent.
Supports have a very tough time against Weaver in Dota 2 patch 7.30c. The hero’s base health regen has been increased to 1.25, his Shukuchi now costs just 60 mana, and the item builds that are available to him are overpowered for the first 15 minutes of the game.
Another great advantage that Weaver has is the Germinate Attack ability, which can now be toggled. This allows you to always use it to harass your enemies and force them out of your lane.
Items
If you’re a weaver player, what you can do is buy some Mangos for HP regen and mana in case you need it, and then buy Falcon Blade as your first item, even before you buy boots. And if you want to do something even crazier, buy Storm Hammer as your second item and Dragon Lance as your third. At that point, which should come before the 15-minute mark you will be the stronger hero in the game. Your damage is incredible, your movement is the same, you are hard to kill, and everyone is running away from you.
Other items that you can buy are Diffusal Blade, MKB, and Dadelaus.
Strategy
When playing Weaver, your goal is to outharass your opponent and take control of the game as fast as possible. Keep in mind, this is not a late-game hero. You don’t want to stay back and farm. Because if you do that, you’ll get outfarmed and outgunned in the late game. But if you strike with superior items before the enemy is prepared to defend, you have a great chance of winning in less than 25 minutes.
Vengeful Spirit
In Dota 2 patch 7.30c, Vengeful Spirit has been nerfed a bit. But the nerfs are insignificant compared to the strengths of the hero. This is not a pick that you want for the midlane or the safe lane. Instead, you want to pick Venge as the position 3 or the position 4 role. The reason is simple: she becomes extremely strong after you buy the Aghanim’s Scepter.
Imagine a Tinker with buyback, who can die and come back to lane in a matter of seconds. That’s Vengeful Spirit with Ags. Because after you die, you can continue to play with your spawned illusion. And if the illusion stays alive, when you respawn you simply become that illusion. So you always have two lives and the ability to reset the fight. This creates massive problems for the enemy team, who now has to ignore you because otherwise, you will use your abilities twice, continue to stay alive if they don’t kill you twice, and then rejoin your team instantly.
Items
When playing Vengeful Spirit, your goal should be to buy an Ags as soon as possible and then become as tanky as possible, so as to force the enemy team to spend a long time and a lot of abilities to kill you. In most cases, you won’t die twice during a team fight. Or if you do, your teammates will have ample time to retaliate and avenge your death with kills of their own.
Strategy
This is a hero that loves to fight. As soon as you have an Ags, you should be fighting non-stop.
Vengeful Spirit will remain relevant throughout the entire duration of the game. And the tankier she becomes, the more resources the enemy team will need to dedicate to kill her twice. Because of that, you should go Ags and then build physical plus magic resistance.
When you engage in team fights, use all of your abilities and then act as your team’s tank. Force enemies to focus on you and don’t be afraid to die.
