A few hours ago, Valve released an update for Counter-Strike 2 where we could see, after several months, some of the new features that the game will bring in its global release. In addition to the purchase system, the “new loadouts,” and the inclusion of Mirage instead of Dust 2, many players noticed some changes in Desert Eagle.

However, unlike the other updates to the game last June 6, the upgrade to the Desert Eagle or Deagle, as it is popularly known, is not new. The Deagle came to CS2 with notable improvements since its release in the limited beta in March 2023. But, with the hype the community has with the game’s other features, they really didn’t realize until now how much of an improvement the Deagle is over its CS:GO counterpart.

The Desert Eagle is buffed in CS2

After the update released by Valve to CS2 last June 6, many players started to echo a post on Reddit where these changes to the Deagle’s accuracy were hinted at.

However, this improvement to the Deagle is not new, as the first reports of the Deagle’s accuracy are from early April 2023. As we noted in the Reddit post, the Deagle is now much more accurate in CS2 than in CS:GO, and, in addition, there are noticeable changes to the recoil.

On the other hand, it is also worth noting that the first two bullets fired with a Desert Eagle impact in the same place and, most importantly, this regardless of the speed with which the shots are fired. In addition, we also note that the rest of the bullets will have a trajectory very similar to those of CS:GO, i.e., they will hit somewhere else.

First videos of the Deagle date back to April

According to HOUNGOUNGAGNE, author of the original video of the Deagle, the most important thing about this change from CS:GO is the gun’s recoil. According to this Twitter user, Deagle’s dispersion is not integrated into the recoil in CS2, unlike CS:GO.

This video is rolling on social media, specifically Twitter, as of April 11, 2023.

As we can see, the Deagle shot is compared in both CS:GO and CS2, and we can notice how there is a change in the trajectory of the shots.

Now, going back to the updates of last June 6, we can highlight that Valve showed for the first time a loadout system, which can be customized from the main menu or even in the game. In addition, there is also an extremely important mechanic, the buy/sell in buy time. This will help avoid game problems where a player “buys wrong” and help better plan the ECO rounds.

For now, we have to wait for Valve to announce new features and, of course, the official release of CS2. Now, with players playing Mirage, we may have more information regarding the changes in CS2.
