Movistar Riders secured the top spot in Group C after defeating Party Astronauts in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 15. The team remains undefeated with a 5 -0 winning streak in the group stage.

Movistar Riders thrashed the Party Astronauts 2-1 to clinch the top spot in Group C and a quarter-final seed for the playoffs. The best-of-three series kicked off with Rider’s pick Overpass and the team outplayed the Party Astronauts by 16-10.

Deathzz picked up 24 frags alone with a KD of 1.71 and mopoz had a scoreline of 22/18/4 (K/D/A). They smashed their way through the opponent and took Inferno for a 1-0 lead over the Astronauts. Party Astronauts bounced back in their own pick Nuke, the second map of the series. Jonji with a KD of 3 and PwnAlone with a KD of 2.4 staged an outstanding play for the team. Movistar tried to retaliate but Astronauts stood firm and took Nuke 16-4. The squad tied the series 1-1, taking it to the last and decisive map, Inferno.

Moviestar took an early lead in the third round, but it was quickly recovered thanks to the combined efforts of Astronaut’s PwnAlone and ben. The Riders led 8-7 at the end of the first half. Despite PwnAlone’s heroic efforts, the Astronauts were unable to hold their ground against MovieStar in the second half, losing the map by a score of 10-16. The Riders won for the fifth time in a row, extending their winning streak to 5-0 and completing their group stage undefeated.

With this thrilling victory, the squad secured first place in Group C and proceeded to the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Party Astronauts, on the other hand, did not win a single game in the group stage and finished with a heartbreaking 0-5 record.

The group stage is coming to an end, and the playoffs will begin on April 5 with Round of 12. Ninjas in Pyjamas from Group A and FURIA Esports from Group B are already qualified for the quarterfinals and Movistar Rider will join them as the quarterfinals kick off on April 7.

In the final week of the ESL Pro League Group Stage, Astralis, NaVi, Heroic, Evil Geniuses, Complexity Gaming, and AGO will compete for a playoff spot. The first-place team will be seeded in the quarterfinals, while the second-and third-place teams will be seeded in the round of 12.
