Demon1 may not attend the Master Tokyo

One of VALORANT’s rising stars is Demon1, who recently commented that if his team Evil Geniuses qualifies for the VCT Masters in Tokyo, he cannot attend.

Demon1’s team managed to qualify for the VCT Americas Playoffs after finishing in a tie with five other teams. Much of that qualification was thanks to their rising star Demon1, who was instrumental in improving the team’s record. However, the player has recently revealed that if his team makes it to Tokyo, he will not be able to join them.

The fact that Evil Geniuses managed to qualify for the playoffs has surprised many VALORANT fans, as the team had a terrible start. Likewise, it surprised fans that other great teams like Sentinels and 100 Thieves failed to qualify.

Demon1 helps Evil Geniuses advance to VCT Americas Playoffs

The trade of Brendan “BcJ” Jensen for Max “Demon1” Mazanov was crucial for the team. As we mentioned before, EG did not have a good start. However, with the arrival of Demon1, the team managed to achieve the goal of advancing to the next phase of the league.

In general, all the team players improved their performance compared to their initial games; without a doubt, the team star has been Demon1.

However, Demon1, despite being a key player in the team at the moment, will not be able to join them at the VCT Masters in Tokyo if the team gets a spot. The player has confirmed that he will not be able to go to Tokyo as he was not part of EG’s starting lineup for the VALORANT American League.

Demon1 will not be able to attend Tokyo

Recall that EG, before adding Demon1 to its roster, did not have a player in his position who did his job to perfection. An example of this was the performance of Alexander “jawgemo” Mor, who failed to show a very effective role.

However, fortunately for the team, they brought in Demon1, who has been an excellent solution playing with Jett. Although, at times, Demon1 played with different characters, his work with Jeff allowed the team to advance in the league.

Demon1 can play with the team until the playoffs are over; however, if the team gets a place in the Tokyo Masters, the player cannot join them. As mentioned before, as he is not part of the team’s initial roster, he cannot participate, so the team may be in trouble if they qualify.

It is likely that, if EG makes it to Tokyo, BcJ will return to the squad, as he is the one who is on the roster for the international tournaments. However, it is important to note that the odds of EG making it to Tokyo are low; the team has a lot of work to do to beat all the rival teams fighting for that spot.
