Having announced the departure of Head Coach Taylor “Tailored” Broomall from their VALORANT team on Tuesday, it is emerged that TSM has already lined up Chet “Chet” Singh as his replacement. The North American organization are now set to confirm the news later this week, signaling the return of Chet, who had been with NRG Esports until the beginning of May.

Why TSM Required a New Coach

Tailored parted company with the org at the start of the seek, following TSM’s poor showing at the VALORANT Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers 2 in April. The departure had been known about in the industry for some time, giving TSM plenty of time to search for a suitable replacement. Former CS:GO coach Chet certainly has the credentials to be a hit. According to reports, his arrival at TSM is already complete.

The 24-year-old left NRG Esports on April 6, after the completion of the VALORANT Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers 1 Open Qualifier. The team finished 9th-16th in the event, meaning that they missed out on a place in the next stage of the tournament. NRG did qualify for the Finals of Challengers 2, alongside Andbox, Sentinels and Cloud9 Blue. However, TSM missed out, having only managed a top 6 finish. Sentinels and V1 are now set to compete for North America at the VALORANT Masters.

How Chet Made His Name in Esports

Chet is rightly regarded as one of the leading coaches in NA, having worked with teams including OpTic Gaming, Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves. During his time competing with NRG in CS:GO, Chet won the cs_summit 3 in 2018, while he also won the ESL One: New York 2019 with Evil Geniuses.

The popular Esports personality rejoined NRG in October last year, forming part of the org’s VALORANT roster. He will now join TSM, charged with getting the best out of Braxton “Brax” Pierce, James “hazed” Cobb, Taylor “Drone” Johnson, Matthew “WARDELL” Yu and Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik.

We will bring you further details of this deal as soon as it is made official by all parties.
