The Spanish team CASE Esports has been crowned the Champions of VALORANT Challengers Spain: Rising Mediamarkt Intel.

The club’s shooter team, founded by famous footballer Casemiro, revamped its champion title in the spring season of VALORANT Challengers Spain. The grand final of this tournament was held last weekend.

VALORANT’s growth in esports

We can say that VALORNAT is having exponential growth and expanding rapidly in Spain and the rest of the world, which translates into great success for the developer of Riot Games. VALORNAT’s success is due to the high level of professional players, which makes the tactical shooter more and more remarkable.

VALORANT Spain

Spain’s most important VALORANT tournament is the “VALORANT Challengers Spain: Rising Mediamarkt Intel.” The grand final of the spring season was held last Sunday, March 12.

The final duel was disputed between CASE Esports and Team Queso, the regular season’s number 1 and 2, respectively. Both teams performed well in the regular season, overcoming the playoffs to meet in the final finally.

This match decided everything and was played in a best-of-5 maps format. Indeed, CASE started leading in Icebox. However, this fact did not make Team Queso give up.

It gave Team Queso strength, as they showed their best game in Haven to put the series 1-1.

However, Casemiro’s team reactivated with much power after this setback and won the match in Ascent. The game was then played on the new map, Loto, where CASE Esports prevailed against its rival, taking the final to 1-3.

The fantastic performance of CASE Esports led them to be crowned champions of Spain. With this victory, they revalidated the title they won in the summer 2022 season.

A large audience followed the event

The grand final held at the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja managed to gather more than 600 spectators, who had the opportunity to enjoy the event in person. While online, more than 165,000 viewers followed the event closely. The channels where the fans were able to enjoy the event are:

  • LVP
  • Mixwell
  • Blackespaolito
  • Hitbox

To conclude the event, LVP CEO Jordi Soler thanked everyone involved.

“It has been a magnificent final in Torrevieja. In front of a dedicated audience, the season’s two best teams competed for the championship. In addition, this event debuted the fan zone concept, which we will use again in future events. We want to thank Riot Games, the clubs, Torrevieja, the public in general, and our sponsors for this fantastic season”.
