MAD Lions not only made a big hit by beating Fnatic and eliminating them from the Group Stage of the Spring Split 2023. But one of their players, 21-year-old Czech Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, has broken the record for most kills in a LEC match.

Undoubtedly, the match between MAD Lions and Fnatic was the most exciting match we have experienced in this Spring Split Group Stage. Moreover, the record broken by the Czech superstar of the Lions was nothing less than beating the legend of the game and the LEC, Martin “Rekkles” Larsson. Carzzy becomes the first player in LEC history to reach 19 kills in one game.

Carzzy breaks the record for most kills in a LEC match

Thanks to Carzzy and Javier “Elyoya” Prades, MAD Lions managed to keep alive the hopes of qualifying for the next MSI by beating Fnatic. However, the Spanish team won in the collective result against the British and the individual. As we mentioned, Carzzy took away a record from Rekkles that had been in place for eight years.

As we can see, Carzzy claims to be the player with the most kills in a single game in the history of the LEC, with a total of 19 kills. The young Czech superstar of MAD Lions surpassed this record in the third match of the series against Fnatic, where he was responsible for leading his team to victory.

Although Fnatic couldn’t pull off the victory against MAD Lions, there is no doubt that Rekkles was the team’s best player. The Swedish legend was constantly hurting the Lions and even managed a 4-Kill.

Carzzy breaks a record after eight years

As we have mentioned, the Czech shooter of MAD Lions broke a record that was in force on July 17, 2014. That is, it was implanted more than eight years ago. On that occasion, Rekkles got 18 kills in a Summer Split match against Copenhagen Wolves, ending with a record of 18/0/3.

At the time, Rekkles was only 18 years old and was considered one of the team’s promising players. It should be noted that Fnatic had in its lineup great players like Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño, Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, and Bora “YellOwStarR” Kim.

Carzzy is the spearhead of MAD Lions

There is no doubt that Carzzy was in charge of being the main offensive reference for the MAD Lions against Fnatic in this series. Thanks to his excellent dominance with Jinx, Carzzy led the Spanish team to an excellent 2-1 victory. Although he was sometimes surprised by the Ahri or Wukong of his opponents, his overall performance was spectacular, especially considering his aggressiveness and perfect positioning.

In addition to breaking Rekkles’ record, the Czech superstar, only 21 years old, won the MVP of the series, and now, he will have to prepare himself and his team to play against Astralis in the next few hours.

Carzzy, Elyoya, and MAD Lions will have to maintain their level of play against an Astralis team that has also been very strong throughout the Split.
