Solary, a French esport organization, has announced the departure of its five female players from the League of Legends academy team. The team was formed in May 2023, and after participating in several tournaments, including Pathfinders, Equal Esports Cup, and various stages of the Mastercard Nexus Tour, the team failed to secure any titles. The departure of the team is not a surprise, as the club had previously indicated in November 2023 that it was exploring its options for the 2024 season.

According to Cléante “Iwa” Ouillion, coach of the team, the club wanted to push the project further in terms of ambitions and open up to international opportunities. This would allow the club to work with more promising players in certain positions. Iwa also mentioned that the team should have an idea of the roster by the end of November 2023.

The departure of the five players, Raphaëlle “Yukiko” Kamilla “Hao” Djamalov, Victoria “Fangs,” Aurora “KoyaSka” Baïsse, and Sophia “Aos si,” marks the end of the first female team of Solary in League of Legends. The team had participated in most of the female scene tournaments in 2023, but unfortunately, they were unable to win a title. The team was expected to showcase its undeniable progress in the Coupe des Etoiles, a tournament that was supposed to take place at the end of the year, but it ended in the semi-finals against BDS Valkyries.

The departure of the team is part of the club’s plan to explore new options for the 2024 season. The club wants to keep some players but also wants to provide other opportunities for them. The club also wants to expand its ambitions and open up to international opportunities. The announcement of the new roster is eagerly awaited by supporters.
