There is no doubt that this VCT offseason is intense, as many teams at the highest competitive level of the VALORANT scene are trying to put together all the necessary pieces to have a competitive team for VCT 2024.

Many deals are being closed in the last hours, teams are exchanging players, and there are dramas in some important organizations like Evil Geniuses. The truth is, this offseason is crazy, and it is getting more and more interesting.

The truth may be somewhat complicated to be 100% attentive to every movement in the scene. Still, according to several reports in recent hours, we have that Team Liquid may have reached an agreement with Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy facing VCT 2024.

Team Liquid has reportedly reached an agreement to sign Keiko

According to a report by popular esports journalist Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis, Team Liquid has reportedly agreed with Keiko ahead of VCT 2024.

It is no secret to anyone that thanks to Keiko’s talent and skills, many teams in the VCT EMEA League have contacted the player to try to sign him for next season. However, everything indicates that the player decided on Team Liquid to play for VCT next season.

Similarly, according to Gomis, the player and the organization would have only a verbal agreement, as no contract or anything like that has been signed yet. As a result, Keiko is still free to continue listening to offers and, above all, to change his mind if he feels like it.

About Keiko

There is no doubt that after Keiko’s masterful performance at VCT Ascension 2023, many eyes of big organizations were focused on the British Apeks player. On the other hand, it is also fair to mention that Team Liquid is in the market for new players after the departure of Dom “soulcas” Sulcas and Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel.

Soulcas is currently a free agent, while Sayf decided to move to Team Vitality next season.

If this news is confirmed, it remains to be seen if Keiko can replace these two great players in Team Liquid’s lineup. Likewise, replacing Sayf is not an easy task since, as we know, he is one of the best players in the region. Moreover, Sayf was the cornerstone of Team Liquid’s victory in the VCT EMEA League 2023 Grand Final against the super team Fnatic.

No matter what happens, Team Liquid needs young and talented blood to keep their hopes of fighting and winning the VCT EMEA League again. In addition, the team will want to translate that regional success into international tournaments next season.
