The BLAST Premier Spring Groups had some great games on the third day of competition. First, NaVi faced NiP in the first match of the day. Then, team Vitality met EG in the second, and, finally, Astralis and Heroic closed the actions.

NaVi vs. NiP

In the first map of the series, NaVi tipped the scales in their favor. Rookies Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi and Danyyl “headtr1ck” Valitov, from NaVi and NiP, respectively, put on a real show for the fans.

However, Valerii “b1t” Vakhovsky delivered a masterful performance on the first map, hitting 27 frags to lead NaVi to a 16-9 victory.

NiP managed to recover in Mirage on the second map. However, when NiP was in double match point to take the match and force the third of the series, NaVi managed to come back and sent the game to overtime. However, NiP proved to be better on this map and took the victory 19-17, with headtr1ck shining with 30 frags.

Finally, NaVi and NiP met on Overpass, a map more successful for the Ukrainians in their history. As expected, NaVi took the victory with a comfortable score of 16-8. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Denis “electroNic” Sharipov put on a show in the match with 24 and 22 frags, respectively.

Team Vitality vs. EG

In the first map, Overpass, Evil Geniuses stood up to Team Vitality. After that, however, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi put on the number 10 jersey and crushed the Americans 16-11. Spinx finished the first map with 28 frags and 124.7 ADR, while ZywOo followed with 25 frags.

The second map was an absolute cakewalk for the French, as they destroyed EG with a terrible score of 16-1. However, ZywOo again had a strong performance with 22 frags and a rating of 2.35, according to HLTV. It is worth noting that the only EG player to surpass the ten frags barrier was Jadan “HexT” Postma.

Astralis vs. Heroic

A great series, as it meant the reunion of Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen with his former team, Heroic.

The first map of the series was Inferno, which was selected by Astralis, who, after a tough start, managed to win with a fantastic 16-10. After that, Dev1ce returned to the servers in a top-level competition and showed everyone why he was considered the best player in the world at the time. Well, dev1ce got 28 frags on this map.

The second map was Mirage, which favored Heroic with a crushing 16-4. After that, Astralis could only score four rounds on the CT side and none on the T side.

Finally, the third map took this match between Danish organizations to Vertigo, where Heroic again made disasters of Astralis’ defense. Once again, the #1 ranked team in the world, according to HLTV, Heroic, took the victory with a score of 16-4. However, this time it was Jakob “Jabbi” Nygaard and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck who carried the team’s offense.
