Cloud9 has prevailed against Heroic in the BLAST Premier Fall Final. NAVI suffered a bitter defeat against Complexity.

Cloud9 vs. Heroic

In the hard-fought CS tournament BLAST Premier Fall Final, Team Cloud9 delivered an impressive game. They faced the Danish team Heroic in the match and were able to achieve a decisive 2:0 victory. This performance underlines the strength and tactical skill that Cloud9 has brought to the competitive season.

The encounter between Cloud9 and Heroic was characterized by strategic depth and precise player skill.

The first map was Nuke and it looked relatively close there, with both teams going back and forth, but Cloud9 came out on top 13-11 in the end. On Inferno it was much more obvious: Heroic played much weaker than on the first map and lost Inferno with a disappointing 5-13. Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov seemed unsure of himself in the match and could do little for Cloud9. He achieved a rating of just 0.77.

Denis “electroNic” Sharipov delivered a truly brilliant performance in the match and is, together with Lotan “Spinx” Giladi and the french Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, one of the highest rated players.

NAVI vs. Complexity

Complexity defeated Natus Vincere 2:1 in the quarterfinals (Anubis 10:13, Overpass 13:6 and Nuke 13:10). Complexity will have to play against the unstoppable FaZe next.

Natus Vincere, on the other hand, have been eliminated from the tournament. They made their debut with Ukrainian newcomer Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov. Although they didn’t make it any further, Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy was satisfied and praised w0nderful’s performance: “For the first competition in a new system, he did a good job.”

The first map was Anubis, and Natus Vincere looked pretty strong. Complexity stumbled at the beginning, then made a comeback attempt, but were thwarted by NAVI, who won the map 13-10. From the second map onwards, however, Complexity were able to turn the tide and overtake Natus Vincere. The European team then won their second pistol round and got as close as six points before failing at half-time and losing 6-13.

The final map was Nuke. Complexity took an early lead but Natus Vincere was able to catch up and then overtake. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski pushed his team back into the game and the two teams engaged in wild exchanges. When the score was 9:9, Complexity stepped on the gas again and regained the lead. Håkon “Hallzerk” Fjærli was confident in a 1v2 situation and secured Complexity the 13:10 victory on Nuke to win the match with 2-1.
