BLAST Paris Major 2023: Asian Closed Qualifiers line-ups determined

The list of participating CS:GO teams for RMR Closed Qualifier in Asia, China, and Oceania has been determined. The Closed Qualifiers will determine who gets a spot in the RMR qualifier for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Closed Qualifier participants for Asia determined 

The Open Qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Paris Major for Asia, China, and Oceania have ended. Four teams from each qualifier advance to their respective regions’ Closed Qualifiers.

The tournaments with the eight teams will take place from February 17th to 19th and each offer two places for the upcoming Regional Major Ranking in Mongolia. The Middle East Closed Qualifier, where the last two spots will be decided for the LAN, will take place from February 24th to 26th.

China

The well-known team TYLOO did not receive an invite for the closed qualifier. Instead, team HSG fe, who knocked TYLOO out of Valve’s regional rankings, received the invite and now have a chance to become the first mixed team to compete in the Major RMR event. 

TYLOO beat CR but had to settle for third place after a narrow loss to Take me away in the semifinals. Nevertheless, they secured the spot in the Closed Qualifier. 

The Chinese team Lord Rabbit had the greatest success at the China Qualifier. The line-up prevailed against Newhappy, defeated the ParisDemons in the semi-finals and Team Take me away in the grand final.

Asia

The Asia Open Qualifiers were dominated by Mongolian and Russian teams. Kintsugi, ILIN, Renewal and Vladivostok advanced to the Closed Qualifier.

The four teams will thus advance to the Closed Qualifiers for Asia, where IHC will be waiting for them. The Mongolian team had a fantastic run at IEM Katowice and are undoubtedly Asia’s big favourites.

Antic will participate in the Oceania Closed Qualifier, as will Killzone, DeadWeight and the Majestic Foghorns.
