Riot Games has revealed the patch notes for VALORANT Patch 6.07, which will deliver the updated map Bind along with bug fixes, gameplay system tweaks, and UI improvements to popular agents.

The revised VALORANT map Bind will return to the game with Patch 6.07, which is set to hit the live servers tomorrow. The revamped map will be added to Unrated and Competitive queues with a number of notable modifications in order to gather player feedback prior to a full comeback in the active map rotation. Although Bind’s return is still the main draw of update 6.07, there are a number of additional improvements that will impact the overall gameplay.

AFK and Queue Dodging penalty updates

The AFK behavior and queue dodging penalties system have also undergone some interesting modifications in the patch. Ranked lobby dodges and normal lobby dodges make up the majority of AFK cases, compelling developers to find a creative solution to such high dodge rates. For those who engage in excessive AFK behavior, a one-day ranked limitation has been added by Riot and the penalty for repeatedly skipping the ranked queue has been increased. Every time a player skips several straight matches, they suffer substantially higher rating losses.

Agent UI Indicator Updates

To further balance the tactical shooter’s in-game performance, modifications to the UI Indicator have also been made to a number of Agents. With his Recon Bolt now appearing appropriately when Bloom is turned off, Sova UI has also undergone a number of changes. While traveling, Recon Bolt’s scanning VFX is more noticeable, and its model size has been enlarged to more accurately depict its hitbox. Notably, these modifications have no impact on lineups or the bolt’s collision when it is moving.

  • The yellow indicator has taken off from Reyna’s Leer.
  • The FRAG/MENT of KAY/O now includes a critical danger indicator.
  • The yellow indicator from Skye’s Seekers is removed.
  • Killoy’s Alarmbot also no longer has a yellow indicator.
  • The yellow indicator from Chamber’s Trademark is also taken off.

Bug fixes

Also, a number of bugs have been fixed, including one that prevented agents from dropping both their primary and secondary weapons while planting or defusing the spike and another that prevented projectiles from resetting their blue travel trails when teleporting. Moreover, the vision cones of Phoenix’s Burn, Viper’s Toxic Screen, and Harbor’s High Tide no longer flicker or distort the minimap, and an Agent’s teleport ability no longer displays an out-of-sight minimap position when experiencing packet loss.
