While it is true that the entire community focuses on the start of the last Major in the CS:GO era, the BLAST.tv Paris Major, some organizations that did not get the ticket to Paris have started to make some changes. For example, in the last few hours, it has come to light that b0denmaster and djay, AWPer, and Rifler, are no longer part of the South African organization ATK.

At this time of the season, when there are very few tournaments in the competitive CS:GO scene, teams make some changes to try to straighten their course for the remainder of the season. In addition, this also helps teams to have good preparation, but certainly a well-deserved rest after many matches in the first four months of the year.

b0denmaster and djay are not part of the ATK lineup

While it is true that the organization has not made an official statement, both Jonathan “b0denmaster” Bodenmalm and Jonathan “djay” Dallal announced through their Twitter accounts that they are no longer part of the ATK lineup.

On the b0denmaster’s side, the player states that he is inactive in the team’s lineup. In the TwitLonger post, b0denmaster claims that the main reason for this decision is that he has been playing on North American servers from Europe for two months. As a result, the player was playing with extremely high ping, and we all know the consequences.

The case of djay is completely different, as the organization has decided to release him to explore his options on another team.

In the official statement, djay claims that his poor performance meant that the team’s expectations were not met and, therefore, he understands that the decision is understandable. But, on the other hand, djay assures that this is not the end of his competitive journey, as he assures that he is motivated to stay on the scene and wants to compete at the “highest possible” level.

b0denmaster’s schedule and ping problems

As expressed by b0denmaster, he had to play every day from 2-6 am, which is undoubtedly extremely complicated. Moreover, the ping difference is lethal for high-level competitive matches, and, for those of us who have ever played on an NA server from the US, we know that our ping at 120-140 makes us vulnerable to those who have even 5 ping.

On the other hand, the player also reported that, although he is inactive on the team, he decided not to renew his contract. As a result, now b0denmaster is looking for a new home in some European organization that needs an AWPer in its squad.

“Since I am no longer under contract with ATK and am located in Europe, I will also be looking for a new career path to reach my goals in CS. So if your team needs a late-round sub or has an open slot for a new player, contact me at DM/Steam or my agent at [email protected].”

The organization has not officially announced who b0denmaster and djay’s replacements will be on the team. However, now that the BLAST.tv Paris Major will be kicking off; they may have some time to get the players that will be a perfect fit for their lineup.
