Season 8 of Apex Legends is right around the corner! We’re getting a metric ton of content on February 2nd — including the explosives expert Fuse! So, if you’ve been looking for an excuse to queue up and play, this’ll be as good a time as any!
And, if you’ve already been playing over the last couple of weeks, you’ll surely love the vast number of changes that are coming your way! So, let’s go over everything that’s about to drop in a couple of days!
Apex Legends Season 8 Breakdown
- First of all, we’re getting a brand-new weapon called the “30-30 Repeater.” It’s widely used in Salvo, the planet from which Fuse hails from. It’s a lever-action rifle that will pick apart your opposition with “hard-hitting rounds.”
- There’s also the Mayhem Battle Pass that’ll come with over 100 items, including Legendary skins, Apex packs, holo-sprays, and everything in between!
- Respawn is introducing a couple of interesting changes to ranked play. Read more about it on their official website.
- Kings Canyon is also getting a visual overhaul. Heck, maybe that’s even an understatement! Simply put, this original Apex map has been obliterated in every sense of the word. Fuse’s entrance has definitely left a mark, but we’re not talking about simple cosmetic changes either. Respawn have listened to player feedback and have decided to change the map in key, nuanced ways. This, in short, should make it a lot more enjoyable from a competitive standpoint — even for those who are more partial to Olympus and World’s Edge. Overall, it’ll take some getting used to. Fortunately, these are all exciting changes that’ll surely affect the game in the best possible way!
Apex Legends | Fuse Abilities Revealed
Of course, what would a brand-new season of Apex be without a new legend? This time around, we’re getting Fuse, an explosives expert from a remote planet called Salvo. He’s not exactly all that original personality-wise, but he’s a perfect fit for the Apex Legends universe nonetheless.
Let’s quickly go over his ability kit:
Tactical: “Knuckle Cluster” — Fuse launches a cluster bomb that’ll continuously expel airburst explosives on impact.
Passive: “Grenadier” — Fuse can stack an extra grenade per inventory slot. Furthermore, he can fire grenades farther, faster, and with more accuracy. This means that Fuse can hold up to two Thermite Grenades, Frag Grenades, and Arc Stars per inventory slot (instead of just one). Nifty, to say the least!
Ultimate: “The Motherlode” — Fuse launches a bombardment that encircles a target in a wall of flame. This ability explodes mid-air and needs 2.5 seconds before it can hit the ground. The cooldown (at the time of this writing) is 120 seconds.
You can check his abilities in action down below:
Overall, he’s a fitting addition an already idiosyncratic character roster! In any case, the eighth season of Apex Legends is looking like a mighty good time!
