Several Call of Duty third-party software have recently received cease and desist letters, where Activision forces these companies to stop their operations. On this occasion, Activision has sent a letter to the game’s cheat system providers to suspend their activities.

Activision Cease and Desist Letters

Activision has sent cease and desist letters to several developers to cease all Call of Duty-related activities. Over the past month, X Labs received one of the most shocking letters. These developers were in charge of allowing users to play older franchise games. On the other hand, the case of Sm2, a major future project, has also been suspended, which annoyed the community of CoD players.

However, Activision is also on the right track. It has sent cease and desist letters to two famous developers who created illegal software that provided cheat codes for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Cheat providers who have received cease and desist letters from Activision

Activision has sent cease and desist letters to both GhostAim and Mobius. With this move by the developer, it is hoped that Call of Duty will experience far less cheating than users are currently experiencing.

Recall that the widespread cheating problem in CoD has been around for a long time. As a result, cheating has caused many problems in the CoD player community in the free-to-play title, such as Warzone 2.

Cheaters who were banned from the game after being caught cheating would create new accounts and continue to harass legal players.

Until now, Activision has not taken measures of this kind, as it is not easy to determine who the creators of cheating software are. However, the CoD developer has detected that GhostAim and Mobius are some of the providers of cheating systems.

So Activision has sent cease and desist letters to GhostAim and Mobius to stop selling their software and completely stop their CoD-related activities.

Mobius has informed all its users that Activision has sent a cease and desist letter.

In the message sent by Mobius, they explain to their users that they will comply with Activision’s letter and stop all operations. On the other hand, in the message, Mobius asks all its users to understand this cease-and-desist decision.

Decrease of cheating players on Call of Duty servers

With these measures taken by Activision, the number of cheating players is expected to decrease significantly in the game in the coming days. The departure of these two major providers of cheats in CoD is a key factor in minimizing cheating within the game.

However, it is important to note that cheating players will not go away so quickly, as many other cheat providers exist. However, if Activision continues this investigation, more cease and desist letters may come to CoD cheat providers.
