All about Trophy Hunt event in Warzone 2 and MW2

We are just hours away from the arrival of season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. In addition to new content, and weapon updates, we will also have a new event called Trophy Hunt, which will be launched along with the new battle pass and different gifts.

Activision wants to hit the big time with this season 3 after the game’s popularity has dropped significantly in the last few weeks. In addition to different features returning to the game, new events may also draw the attention of those community members who have decided to step away from the game.

Activision announces Trophy Hunt event in Season 3

Last April 10, 2023, Activision announced more details regarding the arrival of season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. In addition, they also announced a new event, Trophy Hunt, which will be of limited time, and players will be able to participate to get skins, operators, XP, and many more things.

Trophy Hunt is an event that will arrive in MWII and Warzone 2 season 3 and will have limited time. This kind of event is very common at the time of a season update by Activision.

As mentioned, the Trophy Hunt event will start precisely with season 3 of the game next April 12, 2023. The event will be active until Activision releases the Reloaded update for season 3, i.e., in the second week of May.

Details about the Trophy Hunt event

The event will have three stages in the three most popular game modes.

Multiplayer – MWII

When you eliminate an enemy, it will drop a trophy. You will have to collect as many of them as possible.

Battle Royale, Resurgence and Plunder – Warzone 2

As in the multiplayer mode, eliminating enemy operators or AI combatants will drop trophies. However, in these game modes, trophies are lost if players die. So, you must win the game to get the trophies or deposit them at some buying station.

DMZ – Warzone 2

Like in Battle Royale, operators, and AI fighters drop trophies when eliminated. However, in this mode, players must successfully exfiltrate to earn trophies.

What are the trophies for?

After accumulating a certain number of trophies in any modes described above, players can go to the event section and exchange them for rewards.

Trophy Hunt event rewards

The rewards of the event are very similar to what we have become accustomed to in previous events. This means we will have several weapon skins, operators, double XP tokens, and Calling Cards.

Among the rewards announced by Activision, we can mention the following:

• Nightsting – TAQ-56
• Venom Strik – Assault Rifle Skin based on the DMZ mode reward weapon platform.

Activision highlights that these skins are designed for night operations, so they will likely have night vision optic or just heat optic.
