The Finnish organisation ENCE announced today that it has made changes to the composition of its academy team. The line-up change is the first since the release of the ENCE Academy team, which played for as long as 17 months with the same line-up.

21-year-old Youssef “Juice” Adam is the player that ENCE bids farewell to at this stage of its academy project. He will be replaced by Teemu “teme” Korva, a 16 year old who was a delight in Enhanced. Korva, one of Finland’s promising future players, has only 30 maps played on the HLTV website. In these matches in Enhanced, the youngster has a rating of 0.86.

2023 was a difficult year for ENCE Academy. The team’s performance fluctuated from side to side throughout the year. At its best, the team was ranked 67th in the HLTV rankings, but by the end of the year, the team had dropped to 112th in the rankings.

Otherwise, the team will continue with the same line-up as it faces the challenges of 2024. The team will return to official matches at the end of January, when the tournaments return from the Christmas break.

Guy “NertZ” Iluz, who represented ENCE until the end of 2023, was quietly selected as the 14th player in the HLTV top-20 players list, and was picked by Paavo “podi” Heiskanen of ENCE Academy as his “Bold Prediction” selection for 2024.
