Call of Duty: Warzone problems continue in some aspects, so the WSOW was suspended again until further notice.

This marks the second time Call of Duty Esports has decided to suspend the competition in two months. Battle Royale server issues continue to be Activision’s main Achilles heel, as no matter what they do, they can’t seem to fix them.

We will have to wait until we have actions again in the WSOW to know the players who will be part of the defining tournaments at the end of 2023.

COD Esports suspends the WSOW again

In the last hours, COD Esports announced that the WSOW is postponed again due to problems affecting players’ quality of life. However, the main problem detailed in the announcement is an error in the statistics on the leaderboards. As a result, the tournament organizers could not validate the players’ scores, and the decision is made to postpone the remaining matches.

Different games were scheduled this weekend in the European and North American regions. However, the errors described above made it impossible to verify the results of the games, so the decision was taken to suspend them until further notice.

As noted on their Twitter account, COD Esports mentions that all matches of this weekend’s WSOW Opens (June 23, 24, and 25) are postponed until further notice. In addition, they also mentioned that they thank the players for their patience so far and are working hard to resume the competition as soon as possible.

WSOW 2023 Disaster

WSOW 2023 has been a disaster since its inception several weeks ago, as the qualifiers of the first phase also had problems that originated a first suspension of the tournament. However, on that occasion, it was due to server problems in the game since the arrival of season 3.

Now, problems with the players’ statistics at the end of the games prevent the scores from being validated, and consequently, it is impossible to determine the winners.

Remember that we are in the phase in which the best 25 trios from each region advance to the next tournament phase and will finally fight in the WSOW final, to be played in London on September 16 in a 100% LAN environment. In addition, it is worth noting that this tournament will distribute $600,000 in cash prizes and a tournament called “ONLY ME,” which has a prize pool of $100,000.

Finally, this news comes in a week where Activision surprised everyone by announcing that Warzone Caldera, or “original Warzone,” will close its doors on September 21, 2023. There is no information about when the WSOW games will resume, but if these problems are solved in the next hours, everything will likely continue next weekend.
