The VCT EMEA League continues its course, and we have the current champions of the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023, Fnatic, continue to demonstrate their excellent level by adding the sixth victory of the tournament against Team Vitality.

There is no doubt that the level of play of the Fnatic boys is a step above the rest of their rivals in the EMEA region. Moreover, it’s not that they have won six games so far but that they have only lost one map in the tournament. This undoubtedly demonstrates an absolute dominance of the scene and shows that the team is at an exceptional level of play.

On Team Vitality’s side, this becomes their fourth loss, and they will have to secure their victories in weeks 7 and 8 to qualify for the tournament playoffs. On the other hand, Fnatic managed to secure their place in the next phase.

Let’s see what happened in the match that kicked off week 6 of the VCT EMEA League without further ado.

Fnatic defeated Team Vitality 2-0

The guys from Fnatic continue to prove that, as of today, they are the best VALORANT team in the world and that their victory in the VCT LOCK//IN was no coincidence.

At the start of the sixth week of the tournament, we have that Fnatic got a crushing 2-0 victory over Team Vitality to seal their qualification to the playoffs and score their sixth victory. They are also the only team to remain undefeated in the tournament.

The series was played at Haven (Fnatic) and Bind (Team Vitality).

Haven

Fnatic suffered for the first time in this VCT EMEA League at their map pick, Haven. However, team Vitality started very strong on their defensive side thanks to Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis and Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi, who managed to prevent many of Fnatic’s approaches in the first half. Thanks to this, the team took a 7-5 partial victory.

As expected, Fnatic woke up in the second half and hit back quickly. Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev repelled Vitality’s attacks to get back on the scoreboard. Fnatic was sometimes very close to winning; they were up 12-10. However, a spectacular play by Vitality took the game to Overtime.

Finally, Fnatic was able to win the remaining two rounds to take the victory in the first map with a score of 14-12.

Bind

We move to Bind, Team Vitality’s map pick, where everything started like in Haven. However, both teams won six rounds in the first half this time.

At the change of sides, Fnatic showed what they are made of, as they managed to deploy a defense that, without a doubt, was practically impenetrable for Team Vitality’s guys. Finally, Fnatic managed to take the victory by 13-8 and thus add their sixth victory of the tournament.
