M80 wins the Mid-Season Face Off

M80 put the icing on the cake last Friday, March 31, when they defeated G2 Esports in the grand final of the VCL NA Region Mid-Season Face Off with a 3-1.

However, they were surprised in week 5 by another team that also had a great tournament, The Guard, but they fell just short of the grand final after a loss in the Lower Bracket final to G2 Esports.

M80 showed a spectacular level of play throughout the tournament. Despite finishing equal in their group with The Guard and TSM, the spectacular round difference of +51 gave them first place in the overall standings.

M80 began their journey in this Mid-Season Face Off with a crushing victory over Disguised with 2-0 scores in Haven (13-5) and Ascent (13-4). Then, their dominance continued against Moist Moguls and The Guard, whom they hit back with a spectacular reverse sweep in the Upper Bracket Final.
