After the announcement of the launch of CS2, the community has been very excited and, above all, waiting to be one of those selected to play the game’s closed beta. However, very few casual players have had the opportunity to participate in this test of the game, and there are even statistics that highlight that more than 95% of CS:GO players have not had access to the limited test of CS2.

On the other hand, in early June, Valve released a major update to CS2, including Mirage as a map and new gameplay features. In addition, they also announced that they would give more players access to this closed beta of the game, but according to different reports, the access reached 1% of the players.

Valve increase CS2 beta access by 1%

Following the CS2 update in early June and the announcement that Valve expanded access to the game’s closed beta, statistics were released on Reddit, where it is mentioned that access was increased to 1% of players.

The CS2 access rate has increased by 33% since the new CS2 access wave began!

This statistic is based on all those players registered on Leetify, a platform used to analyze CS:GO players. In addition, it also works to track players’ performance in MM games and allows players to learn different statistics that they would otherwise not have access to. Approximately 290,000 players are registered on Leetify, of which 11,600 have access to CS2.

As shown in the image of the post on Reddit, 3% of the registered players on Leetify had access to the limited test of CS2 on March 30. However, in the latest update, the percentage of players went up to 33%, but it is worth remembering that these are the registered players on this platform. While this might seem like a high number, Leetify makes some estimates regarding the global CS:GO player base, highlighting that only 4% have access to CS2.

More players with access to the CS2 beta

Not all players have an account on the Leetify platform; others may not even know it exists. Therefore, it is more than likely that many players with access to CS2 do not have an account on Leetify, so the count may not be accurate. However, this gives us a “rough” idea of how many players can access the CS2 beta.

The reality is that this is completely understandable, as that is the mission of betas or limited testing. The developers do not have the capacity, for now, to host many players on the CS2 servers, as there are still many issues in the game, and they need to fix them quickly before the global release.

For several days now, there have been several bugs in the game, which affect the gameplay and the players’ quality of life. In addition, the waiting times to get a game can become unbearable, as the number of servers is insufficient for so many people.

For now, we want to be lucky that the game beta ends as soon as possible and that Valve officially announces the release of Counter-Strike 2.
