After winning their third match in the Americas RMR, Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming, and Fluxo have qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Following the conclusion of the Regional Major Ranking tournaments for the Americas, five CS:GO teams from North America and Brazil have qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major.  FURIA and paiN Gaming punched their tickets to the French Major with a perfect 3-0 record, while Team Liquid, Complexity, and Fluxo qualified for the Major on the final day of the competition with a 3-1 record. They will join other CS:GO teams from Europe and Asia-Pacific in the second and final Major of the year, which is scheduled to begin on May 8.

Fluxo and Complexity Gaming secure spot at Paris Major

Complexity and Fluxo have clinched two of the three remaining Major berths in the Americas RMR with impressive victories in their respective 2-1 matchups. Complexity easily destroyed MIBR on the way to earning their Paris Major slot. With a 16-6 victory over Inferno to start the game, Complexity quickly proved their dominance over the competition.

They continued their hot streak against Nuke to win the series 2-0. Although the entire team played well against the Brazillian side, with each player having a moment of heroism at some point, it was the Canadian player Justin “FaNg” Coakley, who stood out the most with an impressive 49-kill performance.

Fluxo, on the other hand, made short work of Paquetá to claim their Major berth, crushing the underdogs 16-13 on Overpass before securing a more dominant 16-9 victory on Nuke. While the famed Brazilian player Joo “felps” Vasconcellos finished the series with 40 kills and an HLTV rating of 1.233, Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves took the lead for Fluxo with 47 kills across the two maps.

Liquid beat Nouns Esports to advance to the Paris Major

Liquid had a strong start in the RMR with victories against 00NATION and Flamengo. However, the squad was unable to overcome FURIA and dropped the tense series 2-1, missing an early slot at the Paris Major.

Liquid’s second effort to earn a spot in the Major was against another North American team Nouns Esports in a 2-1 contest, which was closer than it should have been as Noun maintained their composure in the overtime game. Liquid got the series rolling with a 16-11 victory on Inferno, but they were crushed by Nouns on Ancient in overtime. Yet, they were still able to mount a comeback, win the series decider Nuke 16-9, and secure their trip to Paris.
