Several North American VALORANT players have reported through their social networks that they are still waiting for payment from Nerd Street Gamers.

This company, which is based in Philadelphia and partnered with Riot Games to cover the three stages of the North American VALORANT Champions Tour in 2022. However, according to many gamers, Nerd Street Gamers has yet to pay pro teams for their spots in events during 2022.

On the other hand, some tournament broadcast talent team members claim that they have had to wait half a year to receive payment.

Lack of payment by the organizers

A few hours ago, many players publicly spoke about the lack of prize money payments from tournaments during 2022.

On the other hand, others did not want to reveal their names for fear of retaliation they may suffer in terms of job opportunities in esports.

Timothy “ZK” Ly, a former TSM Academy player, was in charge of setting the fire on Twitter. ZK posted a text stating that he has yet to collect his share of the team’s second-place finish at the Nerd Street Summer Championship 2022.

On the other hand, some people who worked with Nerd Street have pointed out that they are still waiting for thousands of dollars in four months’ salary payments. Others claim that they had to chase Nerd Street management, to the point of almost harassing them, to get paid.

Other players, coaches, and commentators joined the former Ghost Gaming lineup making this list of personalities who have not received their due payments even bigger.

For his part, Yassin “Reduxx” Aboulalazm, a member of Oxygen, noted that NSG owes his organization $2,000.

And this does not stop there, as let’s remember that Nerd Street Gamers was also in charge of organizing some Game Changers events in 2022.

So Benita Novshadian, a current Shopify Rebels player, pointed out that they are still waiting for prize money from two events, Game Changers Championship NA Series 2 and 3.

XSET player starriebun also joined this wave of protests, noting that:

“I swear I don’t remember any of the GC tourneys paying us the prize pool LOL.”

NSG reportedly promised payment

After several hours of comments via Twitter, ZK himself posted a response to his Tweet, noting: “Have been told we should be paid this week.”
