For many months, popular YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has expressed his desire to create his League of Legends team to play at the highest competitive level. However, plans have not materialized for now, but the report claims he could enter the scene with an NACL team. As a result, this would be the popular YouTuber’s first foray into the competitive LoL scene.

With the struggles in the North American League of Legends scene, there is no doubt that having a personality like MrBeast within the league would be a great addition. Just as he rose in popularity with the Disguised Toast team in the NACL, MrBeast can help this scene, which the big organizations are relegating, get a second wind.

MrBeast is reportedly interested in joining NACL

According to a report published by Sander Hove on the web portal The Game Haus in association with Nick “LS” De Cesare, MrBeast is one of the content creators that would be interested in joining the NACL shortly.

Moreover, in the video, we can also hear that both Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp (popular LoL content creator) and the Moist Esports organization, which is owned by Ludwig Ahgren and Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White, would also be interested in joining the NACL.

According to Hove, Tyler1 initially did not want to form a team or buy one for the NACL season that had just started. However, this would not be a definite NO, and the content creator would be willing to dabble in esports in the not-too-distant future.

About the NACL

As we all know, the NACL is the second-tier LoL competitive scene in the North American region, a step below the LCS. In recent weeks, the NACL has been experiencing different problems regarding participating teams, as seven major LCS organizations decided to end their academy teams. This, of course, left many vacancies and, above all, doubts about the future of this league. However, this decision came after the announcement by Riot Games, where it eliminated the regulation that forced LCS organizations to have a team in the NACL.

In the announcement, Riot also reduced the number of teams in the NACL from 16 to 10 and invited the newly created team of content creator, Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang. Disguised is in fourth place in the standings with a 1-4-1 record, but they average over 10K viewers per game, which is certainly a boon to the league overall.

MrBeast and its arrival in the NACL

As we mentioned, MrBeast has been interested in joining the League of Legends competitive scene for many years but never made mention of the NACL. Moreover, last November 6, 2022, MrBeast was invited to the Worlds 2022 broadcast table and said he was 100% sure he would buy a slot in the LCS.

In early 2023, NA gaming legend Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng said that MrBeast’s arrival in the LCS would be “extremely good” for everyone in the league. It’s no secret to anyone that the league is struggling very strongly with popularity in viewership in every match.

For now, these are just rumors, but should this news materialize, there is no doubt that it would be a great addition to the Tier 2 scene in the North American region of League of Legends.
