After a long time since there was no news about the famous fighting game Riot has been working on, “Project L,” the player Bruce “GamerBee” Hsiang has revealed new information about it.

Let’s remember that this videogame was announced three months ago and since then, no information about it has been revealed. However, after the information revealed by the Taiwanese, GamerBee, it is very likely that we still have to wait for some official information regarding the arrival of the “closed beta.”

GamerBee reveals important information about Project L

On March 30, Taiwanese gamer, GamerBee, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account where he referred to new information regarding Riot’s fighting game, Project L.

According to the posted message, the gamer was invited to a Project L banquet hosted by Riot Games in Japan. The player points out that no one was allowed to record what was happening. But they were free to tell everything they heard. At this event, the rioters revealed important information about the game. Such as the development phase, estimated release times, and the video game’s price.

In the screenshots, we can see that GamerBee highlights that Riot wants to put a blow on the table with the launch of this new video game. It also highlights that they want to bring Project L or fighting games to the new generation. In addition, if we look at the video published by Riot where they presented the game, we can see a new mechanic in this type of game, such as Tag Team.

GamerBee speaks to veteran gamers

On the other hand, GamerBee refers to the fact that veteran gamers should not worry too much about this new installment. He assures that Project L will not be an “easy” game. But on the other hand, he assures that there will be many mechanics, combos, and different synergies that could be experienced.

And looking at it this way, GamerBee is right because more than 140 League of Legends heroes can be used. Moreover, there will be infinite combinations of characters in a Tag Team system (2v2).

Finally, the Taiwanese player states that Project L will be an FTP game, i.e., totally free to play, and a “Live Service” game, just like LoL and VALORANT. By this, the player means that the developers will constantly update it.

Project L Gameplay

Regarding the gameplay, GamerBee assures that there is nothing to worry about and that it will be as they are used to be this type of game. He also mentions that there will be a button for light attacks, another for medium hits, and finally, one for heavy hits. However, just like other fighting games, thousands of combat combinations will be possible by combining one with the other.

Finally, regarding integrating Project L into esports, it is worth noting that Riot mentioned something important. Before releasing the game to the professional ecosystem, the developers want players to feel completely comfortable with the game.

This makes us think that the game will first have an adaptation stage before seeing it in major competitions at the highest level.
