While it is true that there are still rumors regarding TSM’s return to the CS:GO competitive scene, in the last few hours, all the hype regarding this news increased since the possible lineup that the team will have for the arrival of CS2 was leaked.
Recall that, in recent weeks, different reports were published detailing that TSM would return to the competitive Counter-Strike scene to launch CS2. However, the organization has not made any official announcement, so all the information, for now, are just rumors.
However, after the possible TSM lineup was leaked, fans of the team and the CS community were not surprised and labeled it a “normal” lineup.
TSM’s possible CS:GO lineup leaked
According to Twitter user, DrakyCSGO, TSM has started practicing with their new CS:GO lineup, which would consist of the following players:
- Cai “CYPHER” Watson
- Audric “JACKZ” Jug
- Valdemar “valde” Vangså
- Timofey “interz” Yakushin
- Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea
TSM have started praccs with the following roster:
🇬🇧CYPHER
🇷🇺interz
🇫🇷JACKZ
🇩🇰valde
🇷🇴MoDo
🇫🇷XTQZZZ (C)— Draky (@DrakyCSGO) July 24, 2023
For those who don’t know, CYPHER comes from playing as an entry fragger in Into The Breach; JACKZ is one of the most experienced players, and his last team was G2 Esports. On the other hand, we have that valde was until very recently, the IGL of North and interz had a great time at Cloud9. Finally, the least known of the lineup is undoubtedly MoDo, a Romanian talent that, according to many in the community, has an incredible talent with AWP.
Finally, the leaker, Draky, mentions that all these players will be under the technical direction of Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam, who comes from being part of Team Vitality and G2 Esports.
Leaks confirm rumors
Several weeks ago, a rumor surfaced that JACKZ, interz, and CYPHER would be the mainstay of TSM’s new Counter-Strike lineup. In addition, there was also a lot of talk that XTQZZZ would be in charge of coaching the team. On the other hand, it was also confirmed that Danish legend and five-time Major champion Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen would not be in the organization’s plans, and with this leak, this seems to be much more confirmed.
Undoubtedly, the union of two legends like dupreeh and CYPHER was one of the main reasons why fans of the organization and the CS community were excited about the return of TSM. However, with the reveal of this supposed TSM lineup without dupreeh, fans seem to have lost a bit of interest.

TSM and its plans to return to Counter-Strike
At the end of 2022, TSM assured that they wanted to return to the competitive CS:GO scene after a five-year hiatus. However, the organization has not made any official announcement since that time.
The only information we have for now are leaks and rumors that have come to light all these months. But, no doubt, an organization as big as TSM can make this comeback when they see fit.
Let’s remember that, at the time, TSM had Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and the Astralis lineup that won it all several years ago. As a result, the community was expecting a very powerful lineup for this return in 2023. However, if these rumors are confirmed, the players must prove they are at the top of their game every chance they get.
