The best weapons in Modern Warfare 2

The latest version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out and that means everyone is looking for the best combat gear to dominate the game. Will you go for an assault rifle, a machine gun, a shotgun, or a sniper rifle? Regardless of what you decide to do, there are a few important changes to keep in mind.

The new weapon system makes you use specific weapons in order to unlock another specific weapon of the same category. For example, if you want to use the M16, you have to play with the M4 first.

The best weapons

In the early stages of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, most weapons are playable. However, a few clearly stand out from the rest. In our opinion, this is the best combat gear for the first few weeks of the game:

M4
The well-known assault rifle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the M4. This weapon is accessible to everyone and is one of the best options for start. The M4 is an all-around assault rifle that lends itself to a variety of playstyles. We use the following attachments:

• Muzzle: Echoline GS-X
• Optics: your choice
• Under Barrel: Operator Foregrip
• Rear Grip: Mine ZX

MP5 / Lachmann Sub
The Lachmann Sub is known to most players as the MP5. You must unlock this submachine gun in the Lachmann and Meer category. The Lachmann Sub is particularly strong at short ranges. For small maps, this weapon is the best choice with the following attachments:

• Barrel: FTAC M-Sub 12″
• Muzzle: Xten RR-40
• Stock: LM Stockless MOD
• Under Barrel: Merc Foregrip

Kastov 762
The fact that Kastov 762 is one of the best Modern Warfare 2 weapons became clear quickly. This assault rifle is particularly strong at longer ranges. Can you hit the first ball? Then it’s probably over for your opponent. We use the following attachments:

Lachmann-762
The Lachmann-762 is a semi-automatic combat rifle. With this weapon, you only need a few bullets to eliminate opponents. We recommend using this battle rifle only at long range. In particular, use the following attachments:

• Optics: SZ SR0-7
• Under Barrel: FTAC Ripper 56

Camouflage for the weapons
