Team Liquid reveals a custom character in Guild of Guardians

Team Liquid has announced that it is working on a hero for the new mobile game Guild of Guardians, which will be free to play!

In Guild of Guardians, an action role-playing game, players form a team of four heroes to take on the legions of evil that threaten the fantasy realm of Elderym. Each hero has unique abilities and a place to fill on the squad, similar to MOBA games.

Team Liquid’s digital products have always been important to the brand. In addition to being a first for the company, creating a complete video game character from scratch gives them a unique opportunity to exercise their imagination.

About Aurora

Team Liquid, together with the creative team of Guild of Guardians, gives life to this new character named Aurora.

The Team Liquid team says they are proud of the heroine they have created, something the company has never done before. Aurora is a heroine with a distinctive personality that integrates Team Liquid’s values and visual identity.

They truly took the time to understand what elements would make a hero in their game feel uniquely ‘Team Liquid.’ After workshopping some initial designs, the result is a stunning water spirit hero and the first playable TL character we have ever made for any game.”

Aurora and seven other characters from well-known esports teams, such as Cloud9, NaVi, and NiP, went on sale on February 8 on the Guild of Guardians website.

As the hero summoned will be a surprise because the distribution of mints is random. In addition, each mint has a chance to become an extraordinary edition color variety, with the following odds:

• 2% Elite
• 1 of 1 Mythic
• 10% Warrior

Even if you don’t get an Aurora Mythic, it may be worth mining a Hero. Possessing a particular esports Hero offers exceptional utility, both in-game and through numerous web3 game events worldwide, plus the freedom to trade and sell minted heroes on the Immutable X marketplace.

Playable carácter

Aurora will be a playable character as soon as the game is released. Even though Team Liquid is happy with this limited edition heroine, they are also working on a free-to-play hero craftable so that all Liquid fans can be part of it. But so far, no more information is known about it.

Working with the Guild of Guardians allows Team Liquid to have a hero representing its essence. In addition, the company was able to participate early in creating the heroine for high-quality mobile games.

Access to the game

The full release of Guild of Guardians is planned for the second half of 2023.

In the meantime, Team Liquid team members are participating in the closed beta, where they will provide feedback to the development team as they polish the game.
