Team GamerLegion sign neaLaN and volt

After a very successful first semester for Team GamerLegion, the team suffered the departure of two of its most important players, Ivan “iM” Mihai and Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek. The former set his course for NaVi, while siuhy returned to MOUZ, his home at the beginning of his career.

As a result, the organization spent several weeks analyzing the options on the market and finally announced the signing of Sanzhar “neaLaN” Iskhakov and Sebastian “volt” Maloș. There is no doubt that supplanting iM and siuhy is an extremely complicated task, but the team has this new challenge in the second half of the season.

Through a statement on their Twitter account, Team GamerLegion announced the signing of neaLaN and volt to solidify this lineup in the second half of the season. As mentioned, these signings are somewhat complicated for the team since they lost two stars in the offseason, iM and siuhy.

There is no doubt that GamerLegion is, as of today, one of the best European teams in the CS:GO Tier 2 competitive scene. However, the team’s excellent performance at the Paris Major, where it made it to the grand final, led to two of its most important members becoming recruited by other teams.

The mere fact of reaching the grand final and the exceptional performances of siuhy and iM made big organizations such as NaVi and MOUZ interested in them.

Now, GamerLegion knows they must keep their banner as high as possible to continue to succeed in the CS:GO scene. Also, the transition to CS2 can start anytime, so the team must prepare to arrive in good shape as best as possible.

About the new signings

There is no doubt that GamerLegion is making two strategic signings for the second half of the season. First of all, we have volt, a player who also gave very good impressions in the Paris Major playing with Into The Breach. In addition, volt was one of the pillars of that team that surprised everyone on the European scene by overcoming the RMR and qualifying for the Paris Major. On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that volt had a Rating of 1.08 in the tournament.

The second signing is neaLaN, who comes to GamerLegion after a disappointing stint with the North American squad Evil Geniuses. neaLaN tried his best to improve EG’s situation, but it was impossible since this season is terrible for Evil Geniuses.

During its brief stay in EG, neaLaN had a disappointing rating of 0.96. However, neaLaN led the team to a second-place finish at the IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR.

GamerLegion has nothing to lose during the season, so this pair of signings fit the team like a glove. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the team will start their journey at IEM Cologne 2023 directly from the Group Stage, so they will have a little more time to prepare.
