Logan Paul’s last few weeks have not been excellent thanks to Coffeezilla, the YouTuber who took it upon himself to post videos about the CryptoZoo game, and YouTuber Logan Paul, which generated a lot of controversies.

People allegedly lost more than $50,000 in certain circumstances, while the general public would have lost millions. Following Coffeezilla’s complaint, it appears that a lawsuit has been filed against members of CryptoZoo, including Logan Paul.

If you don’t remember CryptoZoo, here’s a brief explanation. Users can buy and sell animal eggs as part of a blockchain effort to “create” new creatures. When these species are combined, animals become scarce, directly affecting their market value. Since the project’s inception, several problems and internal micropayments have cost investors millions. With the great uproar, it was made public that one of its programmers was delinquent with the code held “hostage.”

The lawsuit against the CryptoZoo team

In a tweet, YouTuber Coffeezilla posts that a lawsuit has been filed in the city of Austin, Texas, against the following people and organizations.

  • CryptoZoo Inc
  • Logan Paul
  • Danielle Strobel
  • Jeffrey Levin
  • Eduardo Ibanez
  • CryptoKing
  • Ophir BenTov

These individuals and organizations are said to contribute in some way to developing or marketing the crypto game in question. Therefore, when a class action is filed, the plaintiff represents a broader class.

If the action is successful, it may be decided that CryptoZoo Inc, Logan Paul, and the others must compensate the people allegedly defrauded. However, the plaintiff must first prove that the defendant’s sale of a defective product, as completed by Logan and his team, caused them to suffer significant financial losses.

According to attorney Tom, who takes credit for the case on Twitter, it was his idea to bring it. Earlier, he tweeted about a Time article detailing his efforts to hold Logan accountable for what he allegedly did.

About the scam

While it is still unclear whether the alleged scam is real, Coffeezilla’s videos with customer testimonials at least reinforce the idea that the project is incomplete. In addition, many users are apparently unable to hatch their eggs to obtain new hatchlings. Moreover, users cannot withdraw money because some wallets are supposedly blocked.

Following the release of Coffeezilla’s three-part video, Logan posted a video of his own refuting the researcher’s allegations and announcing his intention to file a lawsuit. Afterward, Logan quickly deleted that response video. Then, in a final comment, he promised to “do the right thing” and provided a mechanism for participants to get their $1.3 million back.

However, with claims that users lost more than $7 million, several people felt that this was bandaging a severe wound. Moreover, considering the YouTuber was served with a lawsuit in the first week of February, he also failed to avoid legal action.

So far, Logan Paul has not commented, although he may do so on his podcast or YouTube channel.
