The LEC Spring Split 2023 is about to end, and we already know one of the two teams that will fight for the champion trophy, the €40,000 that takes the first place, and, of course, the qualification to the MSI, Team BDS.

With this, Team BDS shows that what they have done during the Split has not been a coincidence and that they are here to fight for everything. On the other hand, team Vitality, who started as favorites in the Upper Bracket finals match, could not win a single game in the series.

Team BDS crushes Team Vitality and is finalist of the Spring Split 2023

Against all odds and being the “revelation of the tournament,” Team BDS managed to crush Team Vitality 3-0 and thus sealed their qualification to the grand finals of the LEC Spring Split 2023. However, what we have observed confirms that this is no surprise. As a result, the Swiss side is now awaiting the next finalist who will emerge from the match between Team Vitality vs. G2 Esports/MAD Lions.

While it is true that we imagined a tight, intense, and exciting series before the match, Team BDS lowered all those odds from the start.

The Swiss team was led by Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, who was on fire throughout the series and led his team to victory. However, both Luka “Perkz” Perković and Elias “Upset” Lipp could do nothing to stop the Slovenian’s masterclass.

We saw impressive collective play from Team BDS in the first two games. However, when Crownie and his Aphelios took over the Summoner’s Rift Bot Lane, Team Vitality could do nothing.

On the other hand, Team BDS also had a great performance by Adam “Adam” Maanane, with Son and Darius. But, the full force of the Swiss came from Crownshot and Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis in the Bot Lane.

Then in games two and three, Team BDS continued to show their absolute dominance in Summoner’s Rift, as Team Vitality never found a way to slow down Crownie and Labrov. The MVP of the match was Brownie, who finished with a KDA of 12 kills, 16 assists, and one kill (in game three).

Team BDS is making history

Crownie, in addition to giving a real lecture in this series, manages to qualify for the first grand final in his career as a professional in the LEC. In addition, this also becomes the first time that Team BDS has participated in a grand final. Let’s remember that the arrival of this team to the LEC took place just in the 2022 season.

On that occasion, Team BDS was weak, as it only managed to win seven games during the entire year. However, between the winter and spring seasons of 2023, the team has awakened and is very close to qualifying for the next MSI.
