Disguised Toast’s adventure in women’s esports, specifically in VALORANT Game Changers, lasted less than the popular content creator could have dreamed. After failing to meet the goal of qualifying for the main event of Game Changers, Disguised Toast announced the team’s disbanding.

This only reaffirms what some fans had been pointing out after the announcement of the signing of this roster of streamers to play professionally. In addition, we could also call it a kind of message that the scene is giving to content creators who want to buy their teams in different esports.

Disguised Toast announces the disengagement of his female VALORANT lineup

After failing to meet the goal of qualifying for the VALORANT Game Changers, Disguised Toast announced in a series of press releases the departure of each of the players that made up their female VALORANT lineup.

The announcement of the Disguised GC squad caused a lot of uproar in the community because four of the five players were streamers only and had never competed at the highest level. However, the girls achieved a very important milestone in the women’s VALORANT scene by amassing 100,000 viewers in their first match of the qualifiers.

Although the team won that first match played, the girls lost in the next matches and were eliminated from the GC qualifiers. In each player’s statement, we can see that Disguised Toast claims financial and role problems, but there is no doubt that this raid has been more of a joke than an official attempt.

On the other hand, the popular streamer thanked the five players for playing under his team’s banner for less than a week.

Disguised GC’s path in the qualifiers

As mentioned, Disguised GC kicked off their qualifier action in full gear with a win against SHIFT X. In addition to the win, they achieved the viewership milestone we mentioned earlier. However, they then lost to Evil Geniuses, which sent them to the rematch against SHIFT X, where they lost again to be eliminated from the tournament.

The win in the first match must feel like a great accomplishment for these girls who were competing in an official tournament for the first time. Plus, they had little more than a week to prepare, so it was undoubtedly nice while it lasted.

On the other hand, this short foray of Disguised Toast into the women’s scene may have been a breakthrough for women’s VALORANT. The fact that 100K spectators were present for the first match may help the popularity of women’s esports grow.

On the other hand, things didn’t go as desired for these girls, and there is no doubt that Disguised will most likely do it again in the not-too-distant future. At the same time, it may be with a lineup of streamers again or a more serious one of professional female players.
