T1 would make changes to its VALORANT lineup

After a somewhat disappointing season and a terrible run in the VALORANT Champions 2023, T1 would be thinking of renovating its VALORANT lineup for the VCT 2024.

These kinds of moves are expected, especially considering that T1 is one of history’s most successful esports organizations. With the VCT offseason in full swing, many players will move on to free agency, so teams can make different changes to try to give their lineups a new look for next season.

T1 would make radical changes to its VALORANT lineup

According to different reports in the last few hours, the South Korean organization T1 will change its VALORANT lineup heading into VCT 2024. In addition, T1 would reportedly be very close to finalizing the signing of Australian IGL Nick “tixx” Quinn.

In addition, T1 is also linked to Ham “iZu” Woo-joo, a talent only 18 years old who currently plays in Japan and could be the team’s flex player.

On the other hand, talking about the Australian IGL, Tixx, it is worth noting that the player was part of Gods Reign in the Challengers scene in the Asian continent. However, the player has no experience playing at the highest competitive level. As a result, we are in the presence of a giant leap in his career, as T1 is a historic organization in the esports scene.

Similarly, Tixx must prove his worth and leadership skills in a team coming off a disappointing 2023 season in the VCT.

Disappointing year for T1

There is no doubt that T1 has been struggling to maintain consistency and level of play on the VALORANT scene since the start of the season. At VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo and VCT Masters Tokyo, T1 lasted longer on the road than in the tournament. Moreover, at VALORANT Champions 2023, they could not advance beyond the Group Stage and failed to win a single map against FÜT Esports in two heats.

If Tixx’s arrival is confirmed, the team should radically change their approach to the game. In addition, the language barrier may not be an obstacle since T1 players speak perfect English.

Likewise, several of these players will likely be released by the team, as a revamp in the lineup seems imminent. For example, Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh is currently T1’s Controller, but the arrival of Tixx means that the American will leave the team, as their positions are very similar.
