Virtex Entertainment partners up with Riot Games

Virtex Entertainment is one of the most exciting companies in the esports industry.

Its goal is to revolutionize the way we watch professional tournaments, and the product they’ve been working on over the past 3-4 years, Virtex Stadium, is starting to receive a lot of attention from every major game developer that is connected to esports.

First Valve, now Riot Games

Initially, Virtex Stadium was designed in collaboration with Valve Corporation, with the objective of giving Counter-Strike fans the opportunity to experience LAN events from the comfort of their homes.

But in 2023, Virtex Entertainment was contacted by Riot Games and is now exploring the possibility of developing a similar product for Valorant. If the two parties find common ground for a collaboration, this will be a long-term project that will no doubt see many improvements over time.

For now, Valorant fans can watch all the Valorant Champions matches from inside a watch party stadium, which can be downloaded on Steam. Check out this YouTube trailer to get a better idea of how it looks.

For Counter-Strike, the platform will be ready before the end of Autumn or even by the end of September if the development process goes well.

Virtex Stadium is a digital stadium that allows you to experience esports matches more vividly, together with your friends. So instead of watching the action on Twitch and having little to no interaction with other viewers, you can watch it in a more realistic way.

What’s great about Virtex Stadium is that it offers multiple ways of viewing the matches. Apart from the typical perspective offered by the tournament organizer’s observers, you can also have a bird’s eye view of the action because the map and everything that’s happening in real-time is simulated in the digital stadium’s arena.

Another way of looking at the match is by becoming the 11^th player and sitting invisibly right next to the actual players.

Initially, the 2^nd and 3^rd options will not be available for Valorant matches because that product is still in development. But they will be available for Counter-Strike matches this Autumn, and you can get the full experience by simply downloading Virtex Stadium on Steam.
