The novel around Heroic and its recent announcement regarding Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard and Martin “stavn” Lund continues, as the latter has responded to the criticism received through his social networks.

There is no doubt that this is one of the darkest times in Heroic’s recent history since, let’s remember, they were in the #1 position in the Counter-Strike world ranking for several months. However, the team seemed to fracture completely at ESL Pro League S18, as, days later, the organization announced the departure of Casper “cadiaN” Møller, their former IGL, AWPer, and captain.

However, the novel continued a few hours ago when the organization shared a surprising statement announcing that jabbi and stavn are moving to the team’s bench. Similarly, what was more surprising about the statement was that Heroic revealed why they decided to leave cadiaN three weeks ago and pointed the finger directly at stavn and jabbi.

Stavn responds to criticism after Heroic’s announcement

After Heroic shared a post where they brought to light many internal problems within the team, stavn took to his personal Twitter account to respond.

As we note, stavn says in his Twitter post that “Truth always prevails,” which makes us think that the Dane is referring to Heroic lying regarding its official statement.

A few hours ago, Heroic issued a strong statement claiming that both jabbi and stavn gave an “ultimatum” to the organization where they had to choose between them or cadiaN. Furthermore, according to the Danish organization, the duo stated at the time that they would renew their contract if cadiaN left the team.

As a result, the organization made the tough decision to keep two incredible talents. However, everything changed a few hours ago, as Heroic announced that stavn and jabbi are sent to the bench. According to the statement, jabbi and stavn “failed to keep” their end of the bargain and claimed to “have an agreement with Astralis” when offered contract renewals.

While it is true that stavn does not directly mention the organization in his Twitter/X post, there is no doubt that all indications are that he is referring to Heroic not being transparent in explaining changes to its lineup.

Will Heroic survive?

Likewise, remember that this whole novel comes days after Heroic surprisingly announced the signing of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen until the end of 2023. Moreover, as we currently see everything going on, the team will likely have to make more signings.

After cadiaN’s departure, many fans and community members began to doubt Heroic’s future. However, with the departure of stavn and jabbi, everything seems to indicate that things are getting much worse and that even darker times are ahead for the Danish organization.

It is also worth noting that Heroic played their first match without jabbi and stavn in the Roobet Cup 2023 against Aurora, where they won 2-1. In this match, Heroic played with two loan players from MOUZ NXT, William “sirah” Kjærsgaard and Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard. In addition, the top fragger on the server was five-time Major champion dupreeh, as he finished with 62-48, 85.2 ADR, and a 1.27 Rating.
