Sentinels, the once-dominant VALORANT team, has secured its first trophy in over a year after sweeping the competition at the AfreecaTV League in Korea. The team’s success comes after a period of rebuilding, which saw the addition of former Cloud9 player TenZ and substitute player Zellsis.

Sentinels’ decision to rebuild its roster before joining VCT Americas as one of the partnered teams appears to have paid off, as the team has now added yet another international title to its collection. With TenZ and Zellsis now part of the main team, Sentinels looks set to continue its winning streak in the coming months.

Zekken was the standout player of the grand finals, finishing the series with 53 kills and a 1.17 KD. After the match, Zekken expressed his dedication to improvement, saying, “I just want to be better than the player I was yesterday, and am putting in the hours every day to get better.”

Sentinels’ victory in the AfreecaTV VALORANT League marks their first trophy of the 2023 off-season. The team currently has no upcoming matches, but the VCT Americas stage will begin again in February, featuring a new team and multiple international events.
