Selfmade wants to return to the top competitive level of League of Legends

One of the stars of the LEC who, until now, has been relegated to Team Vitality’s bench, Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek, said he is returning to play LoL competitively to try to get a team in the LEC for the 2024 season.

Similarly, it’s worth noting that Selfmade is more than a year away from the competitive League of Legends scene. The 23-year-old wants to return to the top with a new team.

Selfmade announces he wants to return to the LEC in 2024

Through a post on his official Twitter account, 23-year-old Polish Jungler Selfmade announced that he is “taking back” LoL to get to his best and looking for a new team for 2024.

Selfmade is more than a year away from the LEC’s official League of Legends competition since he did not play the Summer Split 2022 nor a single game of the 2023 season with Team Vitality. According to the team’s official statement, Team Vitality sent Selfmade to the bench because of “differences in the approach to the game.”

Now, the player is no longer part of Team Vitality, so he has become a free agent, and currently, he is searching for a new home to play in the 2024 season.

As we can see in Selfmade’s Tweet, the Pole refers to the fact that he “completely wasted his life” for more than a year. In addition, he also refers to the fact that he will resume competitive play to reach his best form and, above all, get a contract with a Tier 1 team.

Selfmade can still be useful in many teams

There is no doubt that since Team Vitality sent Selfmade to the bench, his value as a player has dropped considerably. However, he can still be very useful to any team that requires an experienced and talented Jungler, both in the LEC and LCS.

Similarly, it’s also worth mentioning that Selfmade hasn’t been in the LoL competitive scene for long, as he debuted in 2019 with SK Gaming in the LEC and signed with Fnatic until mid-2021. During this time, Selfmade was one of the pillars of Fnatic in the two-second places achieved in the LEC and, in addition, helped the team to qualify for the Worlds 2020 playoffs. However, some “internal problems” took him away from the team in May 2021.

Immediately after that, he joined Team Vitality, but, at that time, this team had a lot of performance issues despite having a “superteam” with the likes of Luka “Perkz” Perković and Barney “Alphari” Morris.

Last we heard from Selfmade, at the end of 2022, the Pole said he was “frustrated” with his situation at Team Vitality. He further noted that all he wanted to do was “compete.”
