Rocket League Season 8 is live

The Rocket League Season 8 launched today and will be live for exactly three months. The new season brings a lot of exciting content, including the new Sovereign Heights map, the new Honda Civic Type R and R-LE with flashy visual effects, and plenty of free loot. 

Season 7’s Rocket Pass is scheduled to end on December 7th, 2022, which means players have a very limited time to complete the season pass and receive all the rewards it has to offer. The community seems to be pretty excited about the update, so let’s take a look at what the Rocket League Season 8 brings to the game. 

Dynamic neighborhood of Sovereign Heights

One of the biggest highlights of the Rocket League Season 8 is the new Sovereign Heights map. The arena is located in the “dynamic neighborhood of Sovereign Heights”, which is an underground soccer arena. The new map is also the inspiration for the new season’s name — Hit The Streets — which in turn provides the theme for Rocket Pass. Following Sovereign Heights, fans can also look forward to a new Hoops Arena, which is expected to come online later this season.

Honda Civic Type R and more in Season 8 Rocket Pass

The Rocket League Season 8 Pass has a lot in store for players, including free loot such as the Windowed Paint Finish, Chocolate Chip Antenna, and Krush Decal. Additionally, players with the Premium Pass and Pass Bundle can also purchase the Honda Civic Type R, which will also appear in Season 8. Premium Pass owners can also upgrade the car to the Honda Civic Type R-LE at level 35.

Both versions will come with the EdgeLight package available, which is a visual effect that covers the underside of the vehicle. For those using the painted version of the Honda Civic Type R or Honda Civic Type R-LE, this effect will be applied automatically.

However, these effects will only become available once players reach the Rocket Pass Pro Tiers, which unlock upon reaching Tier 70. At higher levels of Rocket Pass, players can look forward to a plethora of streets-inspired cosmetics, as well as their lacquered versions.

Black Market Rewards and Season 8 Tournaments

Besides the Rocket Pass Loot, Rocket League players can also get many other rewards from the ongoing seasonal tournament and the new Black Market.
