TeamOne, now known as Los Grandes, is one of Latin America’s most important esports organizations. They recently officially announced hiring Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu as their new CS:GO Head Coach.

An extraordinary addition to TeamOne

There is no doubt that peacemaker is one of the excellent references as a coach in the current Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. This renowned Brazilian has been in the wake of great organizations such as MAD Lions, Complexity, Heroic, and Team Liquid. In addition, his most recent internship was with Imperial Esports.

This marks the return of peacemaker to the professional CS:GO scene as Head Coach after a six-month hiatus. Remember that, last August 2022, this experienced coach gave way to Lincoln “fnx” Lau at Imperial Esports. Since then, he has only been part of the commentary team of the IEM Rio Major and IEM Katowice 2023.

Rodrigo Terron, board member of Los Grandes, said:

“Counter-Strike is a modality that Los Grandes wants to grow and consolidate even more in this new year. We took an important step with the acquisition of TeamOne, and now we have brought one of the best coaches in history to lead this project. We believe that peacemaker has the necessary experience to come in and help our team get closer to great achievements.”

About Peacemaker

Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu has been in the Counter-Strike competitive scene since 2002. He started with Counter-Strike 1.6 and retired in 2015 to start his career as Head Coach. There is no doubt that this coach has enough experience to help this Brazilian team to get good results.

Tadeu said:

“Planning and internal structure, with long and short-term plans, are essential for a coach when it comes to managing a team. I am very excited about the incentives The Big Ones have given me to take this project even further, competing in the world’s top CS:GO competitions and arriving with real title chances in each of them. On this road to the top, new work will be carried out to reposition the organization in a new position within the modality, being a reference inside and outside the game.”

Not a good 2022 for TeamOne

Undoubtedly, the change of coach in the Brazilian squad is directly related to the results obtained in the 2022 season. Unfortunately, TeamOne did not succeed last season, failing to qualify for the IEM Rio Major and finishing last in the ESL Challenger Rotterdam.

But not all are bad performances, as the Brazilians finished in third place in the ESL Challenger League S43 and reached the semifinals of the Fragadelphia 17.

Los Grandes and TeamOne

Last October 2022, Los Grandes completed the full acquisition of TeamOne, one of the most popular organizations in Brazil. With this, the organizations merged all their projects and already have different awards, such as the CS:GO ESL Premier, ESEA Season 37, and the WESG South America.
