While it is true that the retirements of legends of any video game become really sad news for teams and fans, the return generates a lot of expectation and, above all, excitement.
In this opportunity, one of the legends of Apex Legends, Beau “RamBeau” Sheidy, announced his return to the competitive scene after his short retirement after playing for the last time several months ago under the banner of DarkZero Esports.
There is no doubt that this news may not surprise many in the scene since this is not the first time RamBeau “returns” from “retirement.”. However, we will now have to wait to see what level of play the player will come with and, most importantly, who he will be playing for.

Through a statement on his Twitter/X account, RamBeau announced his imminent return to the Apex Legends competitive scene for the 2024 ALGS season.

RamBeau had 2023 full of ups and downs in the ALGS, as he and his team (The Guard) had good and bad performances at the time. However, it is worth noting that they managed to play in the Split 1 playoffs but only finished inside the TOP 20.
Now, overnight, the organization was involved in a financial problem where they had to cut staff, and both he and his teammates had to explore their options in a new home. Finally, last March 10, 2023, RamBeau and his two teammates signed with Sentinels.
However, a few weeks after the announcement of the Sentinels signing, RamBeau announced his retirement from the Apex Legends competitive scene due to family problems and, most importantly, because he “lost” the love of the game.

Similarly, the story doesn’t end there, as, weeks later, he announced his return to the scene to play with DarkZero and, at the time, said he couldn’t “pass up the opportunity” to be part of one of the best in the world. As a result, Sentinels, his former teammates, his fans, and the community generally did not agree and considered what he did disrespectful.
RamBeau apologizes
As expected, RamBeau fully addressed this controversy to apologize to all his former teammates and mentioned that he didn’t handle his return to the scene in the best way possible.

However, the story between RamBeau and DarkZero ended on May 2, 2023, when the organization signed Brody “Xynew” Geissler to replace him.
Finally, RamBeau’s announcement mentions that he will return to Year 4 of the ALGS. Also, from the GIF he shared, all indications are that he signed a contract with an ALGS team that we are unaware of.
