The Apex Legends competitive scene has lost one of its greatest legends in the last few hours after Beau “RamBeau” Sheidy announced his retirement as a professional.
RamBeau has been one of the best players in the Apex scene and the fundamental pillar of each team he has belonged to. In addition, the player also participated in the last two ALGS Championship contests.
There is no doubt that RamBeau’s retirement comes at a time when the Apex scene is at its most complicated due to the constant server errors that have plagued the ALGS. However, Respawn has assured that they are working out all the kinks and claim that the scene has a lot of life ahead of it.

RamBeau is one of the longest-running professional players in the Apex Legends competitive scene and has decided to say goodbye at the peak of season 16.
While the player claims that he is retiring from the scene due to a lack of love and because he wants to spend more time with his family, it is very likely that the recent bugs in the game have influenced him to make that decision.
Recently, we have observed how the Apex servers have suffered many connection errors. Unfortunately, these errors are not only on the game’s regular servers but have reached the ALGS. As a result, Respawn has promised that it is working to fix all the problems to bring players a better quality of life.
RamBeau explains the reasons for his decision to retire
During his three-year career in the Apex Legends competitive scene, RamBeau was part of great teams such as Flashpoint, XSET, Torrent, The Guard, and Sentinels. However, the player decided to end his professional competitive career due to different factors.
In the TwitLonger posted on his Twitter account, RamBeau claims that people should do what makes them happy, and he is currently not happy. He further claims that his family had different personal issues in the past few months, and now it is time to be with them. Finally, he stresses that there are many dreams he wants to pursue in his life.
On the other hand, RamBeau ended the TwitLonger by saying that he does not plan to stay away from Apex Legends completely, as he plans to do some broadcasts from time to time to “keep in touch” with his fans.
As we can see, the reasons for RamBeau’s decision to withdraw from the scene seem purely personal and unrelated to the game. However, the fact that he mentions that he no longer feels “love” for the competitive scene may lead us to think that the recent problems in the ALGS have accelerated a decision that the player might have thought of taking for the future.
