Portal World Invitationals 2024 Features $100,000 And Upcoming Prospects

While all of the big names look to participate in the million-dollar Elite League tournament, a smaller-scale event, the Portal World Invitationals 2024, will be held right before it. The $100,000 tournament will feature Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams, giving the community fresh faces on a reasonable stage.

Portal World Invitationals 2024 Participants

As mentioned earlier, the Portal World Invitationals will mostly consist of up-and-coming teams, including Natus Vincere’s academy roster, NAVI Junior. We’ll also get to see the icon of Dota, Dendi, participating with his squad, B8.

The favorites of the tournament are MOUZ, 1win, and Nouns, who have proven themselves to be solid competitors in Closed Qualifiers. Unfortunately, the top teams would always get the better of them, but these three teams come into the Portal World Invitationals as the highest-ranked teams. 

Portal World Invitationals 2024 Schedule and Format

The tournament is a short one, lasting only four days. The Portal World Invitationals will run from the 28th of March and end on the 31st.

A Double-elimination format will be used, where there will not be a Group Stage. Instead, all eight teams are directly seeded into the Upper Bracket. Teams that lose in the first round of the Upper Bracket will be sent down to the Lower Bracket for a final chance. 

All matches throughout the bracket will be played in Best of 3 format, except for the Grand Final, which is Best of 5. 

Portal World Invitationals 2024 Prize Pool Distribution

Raking in $100,000 for a maximum of four days of work is a huge bargain for these teams. Here is how the pot will be distributed:

• 1st place: $50,000
• 2nd place: $24,000
• 3rd place: $9,000
• 4th place: $6,000
• 5-6th place: $3,500
• 7-8th place: $2,000

The Grand Final of the Portal World Invitationals will be held on the 31st of March, which is exactly when the Elite League tournament begins. That is why we won’t see any Elite League participants playing in the Portal World Invitationals.
