After a day full of difficulties where BLAST had to suspend all matches due to server problems in Mongolia, the RMR for BLAST.tv CS:GO Paris Major in the Asia-Pacific region already has two teams very close to sealing their qualification, The Mongolz and Grayhound.

Undoubtedly, the guys from The Mongolz have given them all to clarify that what they did at IEM Katowice 2023 under the name IHC was no coincidence. In addition, the team looks solid heading into the qualifier for the next Major.

The Mongolz and their clean sweep in the RMR

Undoubtedly, The Mongolz are the favorite team in the Asia-Pacific region to take one of the tickets to the upcoming BLAST.tv CS:GO Paris Major. Moreover, they showed determination and a high level in the two matches they played to reach the Upper Bracket finals.

In their first match, the only one played on April 6 at the RMR in this region; the boys achieved a remarkable victory over Twisted Minds with a 16-10. In this match, Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold was in charge of leading his team to victory.

Then, the team was waiting for the winner between Rare Atom and VERTEX ESC in the Upper Bracket semifinals. But, in the end, the Rare Atom boys took the victory with a score of 16-6 and made it to the semifinal match.

In this opportunity, Rare Atom and The Mongolz proved that they are the two strongest teams in this region, as they gave us a really exciting match. In Nuke, The Mongolz started very strong with a 10-5 partial victory on the T side, making us think it would be a comfortable victory.

However, this was not the case, as Rare Atom managed to get 9-11 on the scoreboard to put pressure on their rivals. But, Techno and his teammates did not fall to Rare Atom’s game, as they managed to win five of the remaining six rounds to secure the 16-11 victory.

Grayhound secures Upper Bracket final berth with two good wins

The Grayhound boys made their first appearance in these RMRs today, April 7, as their match was rescheduled due to server problems on April 6.

Gayhound started their way in this RMR with a crushing victory against TYLOO with a score of 16-8. Joshua “INS” Potter and Simon “Sico” Williams led the team to a comfortable victory, and both finished with 1.48 and 1.41 Ratings, respectively.

In the second match, Grayhound took on Eruption, who in turn had crushed iG International in their first match by a score of 16-6.

The table was set for a spectacular match, and it did not disappoint, as both teams showed spectacular determination and desire to win. It all started with an extremely even first half that ended with a score of 8-7 in favor of Eruption. However, Yalalt “yAmi” Oyunbileg was on fire the whole first half and finished with an ADR of 115.9 and a 1.69 Rating.

At the change of sides, both teams delighted us with spectacular plays. However, Grayhound’s aggressiveness was too much and practically impossible for the Eruption boys to stop. Grayhound had the whole second half in their hands, except for round 27 when Telmen “shinobi” Batzorig won an impressive 1v3 situation.

However, this was not enough for the Eruption boys to take the win, and they ended up falling with a score of 12-16.

With this, we will have the final between Grayhound and The Mongolz on Sunday, April 9, to define the first qualifier for the BLAST.tv CS:GO Paris Major of the Asia-Pacific region.
