Five of the six matches scheduled for today, April 6, 2023, at the CS:GO Paris Major Asia-Pacific RMR have been suspended due to server problems.

BLAST has partnerships with other organizers to organize the different qualifiers for the CS:GO, Paris Major. For example, in the Asia-Pacific region, we have a long-lived organization within the esports scene, MESA, which organizes the RMR in this region, where two teams will be the ones sealing their ticket.

Server connection problems are out of the hands of the players, teams, and, we could even say, the organizers. However, they must be able to respond to solve any inconvenience that may arise in a tournament as important as a qualifier for the last Major in the CS:GO era.

BLAST suspends RMR Asia-Pacific matches

Through an official statement on Twitter, BLAST announced the suspension of the full day of matches at the CS:GO Paris Major Asia-Pacific RMR. The organizers claim there were server problems in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; therefore, they had to reschedule matches 2,3,4,5 and 6 of the day for tomorrow.

While it is true that the first match of the day between The Mongolz and Twisted Minds (which also had some problems in the middle of the match) was played, after that, there was a break of up to five hours due to server problems. Due to this, MESA, through BLAST, decided to postpone all matches to tomorrow, April 7, 2023.

The Mongolz vs. Twisted Minds – Game Recap

The only match on the first day of the CS:GO Paris Major Asia-Pacific RMR was between The Mongolz and Twisted Minds, which resulted in a 16-10 victory for The Mongolz.

After the round of map bans, we have that Inferno was the map played in this match. Let’s remember that in the first round of these RMRs, all matches are played best of one (BO1), and, in addition, the Double-Elimination bracket format is used.

Inferno

While the start of the first half was a bit shaky for the guys from The Mongolz, they managed to bounce back after losing the second round (after winning the pistol round) and won nine of the next ten rounds that were played. It should be noted that this was all on the T-side at Inferno. Finally, Twisted Minds made up the score 10-5 in the first half with three consecutive rounds.

Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold, with 90.3 ADR and a 1.51 Rating, was the best player in the first half for The Mongolz.

At the change of sides, The Mongolz got ahead on the scoreboard with a resounding 14-5, winning the first four rounds on their CT side. Then, Twisted Minds woke up momentarily to win five of the next six rounds to take a 15-10 lead.

Finally, The Mongolz won the last round to take the map victory 16-10.
