Moves continue in the CS:GO competitive scene for the second half of 2023, especially for the transition to Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). This time, we go again to Brazil, as one of their organizations, paiN Gaming, continues to change their CS:GO lineup. In this opportunity, we have that the Brazilian squad dropped their AWPer Romeu “zevy” Rocco.

As part of a total restructuring in paiN Gaming’s CS:GO squad, the squad is making many moves this player break. In addition to zevy’s departure, the addition of Gabriel “NEKIZ” Schenato from paiN to 00 Nation was recently announced. As a result, paiN Gaming currently has only Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt and Felipe “skullz” Medeiros in their lineup.

paiN Gaming and zevy part ways

Through a statement on its official Twitter account, paiN Gaming announced that it is parting ways with its AWPer, Romeu “zevy” Rocco.

This move marks the end of zevy’s stay in the Brazilian organization, which lasted about a year. In addition, it is worth noting that the 22-year-old Brazilian AWPer was one of paiN’s key pillars in its qualification for the Paris Major. However, Zevy always showed his best in each team tournament.

Zevy and his contribution to PaiN Gaming

As we mentioned, zevy was one of the fundamental pillars of paiN Gaming in the last months. Moreover, in the 2022 season, this player played a very important role in rebuilding the team in mid-August.

Upon arriving at the Brazilian squad, Zevy had to play the roles of Gabriel “Nython” Lino and NEKIZ, thus contributing greatly to the team’s success. In addition to the qualification to the Paris Major, let’s remember that paiN won the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2022 and qualified for the ESL Pro League S17 playoffs. As we can see, not everything was bad for the organization last year.

However, zevy joins the large number of changes that have occurred in recent days in the different Brazilian esports organizations. In addition, many reports point to the fact that the talented 22-year-old AWPer could sign for Fluxo in the coming days.

Both zevy and his former teammate, Vinícios “PKL” Coelho, are considered one of Fluxo’s priorities for the second half of the season. If these last two signings are confirmed, Fluxo will have the following lineup:

  • Vinicius “vsm” Moreira
  • Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves
  • João “felps” Vasconcellos
  • Zevy
  • PKL
  • Joaquín “lokomotioN” Cuevas – Head Coach

On the other hand, given the urgency that paiN Gaming has to complete its lineup as soon as possible, many reports claim that the following players would sign with paiN:

  • Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk (FURIA Academy).
  • Lucas “lux” Meneghini (Fluxo)
  • Cássio “cass1n” Santos (paiN Academy)
