Undoubtedly, all the spotlight was on Fnatic’s celebration of their victory over Excel Esports in the Lower Bracket of the LEC Season Finals 2023. However, after the match ended, Spaniard and Fnatic star Oscar “Oscarinin” Jimenez revealed that he played the match with a hand injury.

Oscarinin revealed his hand injury after keeping it a secret in the match where Fnatic secured its place, at least, for the Worlds 2023 playoff. However, the Spaniard was the MVP of the first game, which gave his team the strength and, above all, the confidence to face BO5.

Fnatic comes from less to more the season

There is no doubt that Oscarinin’s debut in the LEC has not been as he and the team dreamed it would be. The powerful Fnatic lineup that started the 2023 season was very disappointing at the beginning of the season, so much so that Martin “Wunder” Hansen and Martin “Rekkles” Larsson had to leave the team. Remember that Wunder is one of the most legendary top laners in the LEC scene, while Rekkles is among the best players in history.

In Oscarinin’s first split with Fnatic, things didn’t go as they dreamed, and, as a result, many began to wonder if Fnatic had made the right decision in signing the Spaniard.

However, we are now very close to the end of the 2023 season, and there is no doubt that the young Spaniard has been one of the fundamental pillars of the team’s current success. Fnatic is one win away from securing their presence in the Worlds 2023 main event, but if they fail, the team will still travel to Korea to play in the playoff.

Oscarinin reveals his injury

Now, if we look at the match between Fnatic and Excel in detail, especially in the first match, it was more than obvious that something was wrong with Oscarinin. Even in a video of the official LEC broadcast, we can see how the Spaniard holds his right hand to avoid feeling more pain and, above all, to avoid further injury.

In addition, we can also observe that when he takes the mouse, he does it with great caution, as if he could not move his hand.

Likewise, Oscarinin showed his gallantry and bravery during the whole series and even played with four champions. In addition, it is also worth mentioning that, injury and all, Oscarinin landed a spectacular Pentakill to close out the series’ first game.

As mentioned, the Spaniard could not shine throughout the series due to his hand injury. However, every bit of sand he contributed in each game was fundamental for Fnatic to get the 3-2 victory.

After finishing the match against Excel Esports, Oscarinin shared an image on his Twitter account showing his hand completely bandaged. In addition, he accompanies the image with a message that reads, “I was only missing one hand to beat Odo.”

For now, we do not know the extent of Oscarinin’s injury and whether it will prevent him from playing the match against Team BDS for his place within the TOP 3 of the LEC Season Finals 2023. However, the player was a bit worried because he did not know if he could play against Excel.
